You can get some decent "pill" cutters, there worth paying an extra few $ for as they will last years.
I have one that has a trianular catchment for the pill(so it cuts right in the centre, also has a kinda gap to fit oblong pills in length ways). It also has a very sharp razor blade that is kept behind a, "saftey shield" of sorts its not accessible until you close the cutter, which cuts the pill.
Really handy little gizmo to have around and I would guess you could probably get one of amaz0n? If not then like Popster says a decent pharmacy will have one.
