I don't think WU will process your payment w/o the sender's and the receiver's full name whether the transaction is by cash or credit (online cc, definitely not). I don't know anything about MG.
High volume receivers will typically have more than one person available to pickup payment. WU sets a limit on receipts by an individual (monthly basis?) since the service is supposed to be used for person to person transactions only, and not for business purchases.
Your vendor may be temporarily maxed-out as a receiver and they apparently have suggested a rather foolish work-around which I suggest you avoid.
