for some odd reason that is one of my favourite songs, I don't think I was born when it come out but I even now I play it.
I like 80's music,
At barbq regarding Thriller, I was in a dance troupe and we did a tribute tour and there is 2 ways that dance is usually performed. one like you described ( usually only done by professional skilled dancers) the other very similar ( think the prisoners dancing to it) and yeah the choreography for many of his dances are a lot more complex and tight.
I am disappointed that a lot of todays female pop stars CANNOT dance.
They have the time to spend hours learning choreography suited to their skills and some have been in the business for years. Once you spot it hard to forget. Britney Spears is actually a good dancer ( slave for you is a lot harder to dance to than what it looks) and her Xanax induced performance at the VMA years ago is cringe worthy.
