That's a fascinating article. I completely agree with the point at the end criticising the mind/body split. That is an artificial distinction made by Rene Descartes (1596 - 1650). I find it amazing that the mind/body split is still so enduring in medicine. Descartes made many interesting contributions to philosophy and maths, but the fact someone alive in Shakespeare's day is still influencing the way we think about the mind is quite weird! We seem to have moved on in other areas...
