I apologize if i have offended anyone by usage of those lyrics.  i got away with one line from a leonard cohen song about he and janis joplin at the Chelsea hotel.  But, i was gonna "X: out the term of art for color of skin.  But then it would not be the lou reed song we all loved. But i do apologize to any i offended.

Love it, Charon. I was born in Brooklyn, but lived for 15 years in the heart of the Village. Practically lived at CBGB throughout the 70's. Saw Lou there as a performer many times, and also saw him as a patron! An incredibly talented man, critical thinker and social critic. Thanks for bringing those memories to mind.
