Great information to be had on this thread so far. I used to work as a counselor at a federal government installation for a number of years. Inside the installation was a huge US Customs unit. I got to know the workers there fairly well and when I had down time would wander over to the unit. What an education I got there. They used to seize the actual machinery used for pressing counterfeit pills and knew all the ins and outs about the production of them. I can remember one of them telling me about how certain benzo's were known to be more bitter than others and how the counterfeiters would use less talc and more of a bitter substance that they added to give the appearance of authenticity. Most of the units that they seized were purchased through the Internet. The units could put out an incredibly high volume of very high quality tabs. Occasionally, you would get a tab that wasn't scored dead center, so you still needed some "quality control" at the point of production. And, oh yes, barz were the number 1 most counterfeited, even back then. These guys also confiscated legit meds, of course, and had hampers full of real barz and just about any med with recreational value that you can name. Where did it all end up? Some was kept as evidence if they were planning to pursue criminal action of whomever, and the rest were incinerated! What a waste. RM
