Google is a monster...just fined by the EU (2.7 Billion) for putting their own business's at the top after anyone searches ...nearest competitor was on page 4....LOL How many users go to page 4 after a search?

Google has gone too far, and only folks like you or me do anything to really protect themselves.

I am a dummy and used the same screen name, previously, on a few of these sites.  I remember when I googled it last year and I came up on two weight loss sites I used when I was trying to lose the pregnancy weight.  They showed EVERYTHING.... detailed posts.   How much I weighed, what I was doing/using, etc.  I was mortified... not so much by what you all could see or figure out about me, but that my husband would do a random google and see.  He knows a few of the names I used online and I did not even think that any of it would show up.  There is also a site that if you put your name in, it will show the names you use on the net.  All the tracking features are some scary crap.

I don't believe that g00gle will remove pics and detailed info about a person anymore.

Maybe cuz my info was hacked, and then hosted in two countries, and I am an attorney and a minister, and allegedly sick enuff to be told to get my affairs in order about 24 yrs ago, that I did get results. I used US legal means. Dealt with google. And, then had to deal with interpol cuz some insane forum hosted all my pics and info in UK.

Took me two years to do so. To get the info and pics down. But, I have since read that with so much hacking going on, no one will help u remove that info now.

I also had copyrighted my pics. is there no way to contact the forums admins and ask if they will delete your info?

And, i know i sound like a worry wort. But, i have seen so much. Followed so many legal cases.

I try to tell women do not show baby bump pics on facebook or any social media. Sick, insane, sociopaths will join Dog breeders clubs, or anything that has pregnant women. As of now I have unfortunately followed at least twelve cases wherein insane women, whom could not have children, or whom wanted to trap a man into marriage, decided to meet up with the pregnant women they met online. Those cases did not end well for the poor pregnant moms to be.

Most of the criminals whom used to attack us for our info, or try to rob us for our monies, now simply use the internet to accomplish same.

Be so careful what u post. Whom is allowed to see your info. I have one emergency social media acct which i keep on lockdown so i can reach my nieces and nephew when they need me. And, vice versa.

Please be careful. There are thieves, and horrific predators whom now use online to stalk, harass and make one's life miserable.

I used to have over 50 posts last year i think, but i was using hushmail, and list alot of important info when I forgot to sign in, as many know you get a free account, but you must sign in at least omce a fortnight, i jst forgot one time, and for the life of me i cannot remember my username and password, so i had to start again, but it took so long to get over the 50, i just stopped posting, until lately, as if you need to know something ioplist to s the place to come!!

if the old screen name comes to you, and either i remember that account or its still in existence, then post and i shall PM u for the info.

The system did delete people automatically for failure to post. But, not in awhile. So, if u can even give me some sort of hint, i may remember your screen name, ur email, or ur old avatar.

This just happened today.  A new member posted a question in Who's Got It?  He/she mentioned a particular medicine.  The next poster informed him/her that if one searches google, right now, with the exact med she/he was seeking, that his/her post showed up as first hit on google.  At our forum.  Aye Carumba.

See, google search engine is not our friend since we went public a couple months ago.

This is why I beg you all to get in your fifty posts in ON TOPic areas and PM me or another member.

PLEASE LEARN FROM THIS. WHATEVER YOU POST, IT WILL MAKE GOOGLE. AND, ON AND ON AND ON.

TALK THRU PM'S AND EMAILS FOR THE SAFETY OF MEMBERS, FORUM, VENDORS.

L E HAS QUITE ENUFF INFO NOW FROM STUPID ASS FORUMS LIKE DBG AND TTM.

LET US GIVE THEM NOTHING WE DON'T WANT THE ENTIRE WORLD TO SEE.

Your PMs and emails are never available to google.  Nor to us.  This is why we have private areas for those over fifty posts.  To avoid google searches.  Unknown "guests."  

Whatever you post on the internet, it will be there later.

We have quite a few new people of late.  Keep your identity safe and only post what you are comfortable with others reading  on google.

(And, that is why the senior and pioneer members talk in cryptic fashions to newbies.  Or use PM and email.  Be safe, guys.)
