Thoughts on Bitcoin as payment?

The only bad " thing" about bitcoin is that price change all the time, 24x7. So, if you have o send 100 for will be x amount of bitcoins, and then 10 minutes later will be another amount of bitcoins ( could be less, could be more ) . What I do with my magazine seller, he gave me the conversion at that moment, and we keep that for 48hs, sometimes I loose , sometimes I win, cause the BTC fluctuations .

Yes, that is a good one. I like the Atms, but are expensive to use .

I use bitcoin almost on a daily basis for one reason or another. I love the fact that some of our good vendors accept bitcoin now also.

I am far from a bitcoin expert but if anyone needs any help with it or just have questions about it I’m more than happy to help anyone here.

It is very easy to use and like I said I use it almost everyday to make regular purchases. I use a couple different wallets and exchanges.

Most popular question I get is once you buy bitcoin how do you spend it. Answer is there are several ways to spend it. Even if the store doesn’t accept bitcoin I have a bitpay Visa card. Which is basically just a regular Visa card that you connect to your bitcoin wallet so it allows you to use bitcoin to buy from anywhere that accepts Visa.

Bitcoin is far from anonymous though as people used to think. Every transaction can be seen and tracked. It’s true it doesn’t use names basically just sends digital currency from one wallet to another but if you are doing a lot of illegal activity bitcoin is definitely not the safest option. But for most of us in this community what we use it for here it’s definitely a better option than mg/wu imo.

I agree localbitcoins can be a great option. Atm’s Are great too but you are right some of their fees are ridiculous.
Another option if you need to get bitcoin from cash is LibertyX. It’s very easy to use. The fees vary but some are as high as 9%. But it’s a quick and easy way to turn your cash into bitcoin.

Me too. However, they are now asking for id and cash is not longer an option ?

the above site for bitcoins is probably the best out there atm, most charge extortionate fees and inflate the real value of bitcoins. but localbitcoins are attracting sellers who are asking too much personal info recently something to watch out for

I have always had difficulties understanding Bitcoin. Fortunately it appears to be getting easier. I would love to see it replace common online payment systems as it appears much more secure and anonymous.

Personally, and its just me... I don't like to use Bitcoin. I don't see it as a replacement for "money"
It is a high risk investment.

When you purchase Bitocin, as it was said earlier, you have to understand if you put in 1000 one day, the next hour it could be holding only 700'
Of course the reverse is true if you put in 1000 you could very well have 1300 the next hour.

Bitcoin became famous when it his +10 and made very many people instantly rich
Now its down to 6900 and its also made very many people poor.

For me I just want to know how much money I have at any given time, and not have to worry if I will wake up with nothing.

I suppose if I wanted to take a gamble on money, I would even feel safer in the stock market as it has defined rules.

I agree, bitcoins and altcoins are an awesome payment method, Once you gain trust with your favorite v3ndr off course.

I also think it was a good investment, being one of the early people to hop on board of course, again everyone has a different view or bias, but its really nice to be in control of your payment, and not having to deal with banking issues as they will tend to arise in the future.
