COVID UPDATES. TIME TO DECIDE ABOUT SPREADING COVID

Unfortunately it is still very much amongst us. And people are killing each other over mask usage. And even at the covid tribute forum, omg, they attack anyone whom did not wear a mask. And then contracted the virus. They are happy he did and he died. And people are laughing. There is absolutely nothing to laugh about.

Schools are gonna open. What balderdash. Schools cannot contain the spread of head lice or colds in most schools. Many a teacher is terrified to go back. And bring back one of the six versions of covid in NY now, to family members with underlying conditions. Teachers whom taught online sharing a classroom with two other teachers, all tested positive for covid. Tells me that schools have not been cleaned out. UV lighted. Nah, not ready.

We all can get evicted in NY now. Rich people rushed from NYC to westchester and paid really high for all the apts and shared rooms.

And we have a new term of art: Long Haulers. Sometimes it is cuz the tests give false positives and false negatives and it was damned hard to get tested. And now many of us feel the testing increased chances of contracting the illness. But long haulers have allegedly beaten covid months ago but never test negative, and never recover energy. breathing. a normal heart rate. They have continuing pains in neck, arms and legs. Cognitive disfunction. Itching. Espstein Barr is popping up. The Long Haulers seem to result in some new autoimmunes.

Please wear masks. Glasses or goggles if possible. Upticks are happening in other countries also. Gloves are kinda useless cuz too many don't use them properly, touch all things, and then dump them in plain sight.

Everyone wants to get hands on the med used with lupus. So it cannot be found.

I have never seen such hatred for other people. Absolute disregard for another's life. People will shoot you if you mention wearing a mask. Don't do it. Just get away.

It is still dangerous and hell out there. It is far from gone. Be safe all.

This is exactly what I was afraid of - without proper containment, the virus mutates as it travels through the population.

I have not personally lost anyone to this virus, but I have friends that have and my heart breaks. I wear my mask EVERYWHERE not for myself, but for others. I wish this virus had never existed.

I really feel for parents that have to homeschool on top of work. I’m wfh but with no kids and even that is a challenge. I have good friends that have a special needs son and he is missing out on some much interaction with his friends and real professional teaching on top of the isolation. It’s so hard for these little ones.

This is the daily news. FB. WHO states the world can be free of the virus in about 2 years.

Cuz many of us will be dead. But I ain't taking no vaccinations against it. I already gave by being used for polio vaccine trials. We got it nine times. Live, dead, injected and we drank it. I got several, incurable autoimmunes and my sister developed stage iv cancer very young. God granted her a miracle. But, Many of us won't last two more yrs. Surely u kid.

And a couple of points stuck out to me...

Antibody tests for COVID-19 are available through healthcare providers and laboratories. Check with your healthcare provider to see if they offer antibody tests and whether you should get one.

A positive test result shows you might have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold.

Having antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19 might provide protection from getting infected with the virus again. If it does, we do not know how much protection the antibodies might provide or how long this protection might last.

You should continue to protect yourself and others since you could get infected with the virus again.

If you test negative, you might not have ever had COVID-19. Talk with your healthcare provider about your test result and the type of test you took to understand what your result means.

Regardless of whether you test positive or negative, the results do not confirm whether or not you are able to spread the virus that causes COVID-19. Until we know more, continue to take steps to protect yourself and others.

Yeah, they are saying No, they don't matter those tests. And way too many false negatives or positives.

We don't know much of what "they" know.

A doctor I watch today had an HIV specialist on. That is a virus. And she says masks do prevent you from spreading covid but also protects you from a serious infection if someone is positive near you. The mask will offer you some protection and one can get covid, but a much milder form of it. Just cover your nose with your mask. that is why we are having lower death rates with higher number of cases. the masks do work to some degree.

No one trusts the CDC nor the WHO. Too many conflicting ideas they have promoted. And now Bill Gates is trying to distance himself from the CDC. Yeah, right. We all know he owns a patent on one drug against covid. Bah. Good work, Ice Man.

Ireland had squashed this bug. But tons of rich americans, young people, went traipsing over to ireland. ignored masks and social distancing. It is back in Ireland. Enough to make them fear it is the start of second wave.

NY has more cases which put us above the number of deaths we were saying is okay.

But, with this second wave as some call it, we have learned that masks of any kind, do offer both the wearer and those in their vicinity, a chance to avoid the particulate matter. And, if one does get covid, It is now reported that if you were masked, you get a lower dosage of covid in your system. And that is why deaths are down. But, infection rates are coming back.

I pray that far many report an easy "battle" cuz they wore masks.

Please don't get complacent now.

I have heard similar reports from scientists. It seems to do with the amount of viral particles you inhale - fewer particles means a milder illness (at least for most people). While a re-usable or surgical mask mainly protects others from you, the person wearing it also gets some protection. It is a strong argument for wearing a mask!

I have been preparing for a second wave... isopropyl alcohol, hand gel, and I managed to get some FFP2 masks that give me a decent level of protection (FFP2 is an EU standard, but roughly the same as N95). In the UK people are supposed to wear masks on public transport and inside shops/stores. From what I've seen about half of people don't wear masks inside stores. Of those who do wear a mask loads aren't wearing the mask properly e.g. pulled down under their nose, or the truly bizarre "chin mask"!

We are not allowed to meet in groups of more than six - that is a new law. In England's second largest city, Birmingham, it is currently illegal to visit anyone socially if you don't live with them (the exceptions are for meeting co-workers and in educational settings). So these are really draconian laws from a government desperate to reduce the cases, while still having people go to work, and for education to continue.

Right now children have just gone back to school. UK universities are about to open and that means millions of students moving around the country, then living in halls of residence That's typically shared accommodation - individual bedrooms, often with their own bathrooms (but occasionally shared), and a shared kitchen and social space. I suspect the virus will spread very fast in those conditions. University staff and school teachers are busy working out how to teach everything online if it comes to it.

Ok, levels started to rise again in NY, and several parts of suburbs of NY. Don't forget that original studies indicate that the particulate droplets hang in the air longer in humidity. So with lessening humidity, one is more prone to get the illness.

If one wants to be smart, one should wear glasses or those weird see thru entire face masks as they cover your eyes.

But then one must wear a standard mask beneath it. Cuz particulate matter can get in via the sides. And U don't protect others either.

Don't use the masks with air valves. You are exposing others to your germs. And if any germs are on your mask, u will get them.

Three pieces of material are best. But a specialist in HIV research and all, on a doctor show I follow, has studied covid and others since its beginning. She says any type facial covering, even the neck masks which are thin, will prevent a certain per centage of particulate matter from getting to you. And to others. And she believes that the less particulate matters you are exposed to, the easier case of covid you may contract. It hopefully won't be like March.

And, if only eighty per cent of people wear masks, She believes that will be enough to keep bending the curve further.

And we are seeing whereas more cases get reported, fewer are dying unless they had a hell of a prior medical history. But Masks are helping people get milder cases.

And the social distancing is helping.

It affects minorities and their children much worse. Could also be as it is potentially in the water and plumbing, that places like NYC are screwed cuz they are on top of one another.

And let the gvt say what it will, having thousands rummaging around NY suburbs every damned night, with violence and screaming and acts of violence, certainly is bringing more cases of covid around.
