"In the United States, there is no specific constitutional guarantee on the privacy of correspondence. The secrecy of letters and correspondence is derived through litigation from the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. In an 1877 case, the U.S. Supreme Court stated:
No law of Congress can place in the hands of officials connected with the Postal Service any authority to invade the secrecy of letters and such sealed packages in the mail; and all regulations adopted as to mail matter of this kind must be in subordination to the great principle embodied in the fourth amendment of the Constitution."
I don't think it is even legal what they want to do with USPS.
This is what I was also hinting at but unfortunately there is far more gaps in the constitutions for those in power to do what they want then we sometimes think. The issue of imied powers VS stayed powers of the Supreme Court and so forth. Now we do have judicial review which could be a good thing or a bad thing so it depends on who decides for what purpose they want to use those powers. Sometimes I feel like the federal govt has so much more power given to them to people know.

Sounds like more paperwork for the v3ndor. I am sure the smart professional ones will figure it out. The ones not so bright will
" tell on themselves " Also means, less offer, same buyer, more job for the offer remaining , more expensive for us.

yeah it ultimately means more work for vendors plus added risk - Vendor then must hike up prices to cover there ends to make more money off of less deliveries which ultimately puts pressure on us...and it's not like we don't also have the added risk.

Maybe try not to get ahead of ourselves with conjecture on what or who will be impacted and have some faith there will be plenty of workarounds for this latest 'ACT' not to affect any of us for the foreseeable future. I realize the OP is a stressful read but I'm fairly certain there are existing solution(s) for this situation.

Went to Parcel Hero's website and dug around a lot, concerning shipping to U.S. and found no mention of the stop act. You would think that it would be mentioned in big bold print as this would be great for their business? Something just doesn't seem quite right. Can't seem to make much sense of it all. Would like to know the source of this info. The info on the stop act on the web was very old, if this big bold act that many in congress opposed because of cost. And other countries opposed and threatened to block incoming US mail. It would cause an incredible backlog at US customs, which might be the case right now. There would be something current on the web, if it just went into effect recently. I think this applies more to large volume shippers. A person sending a small package to a friend in the US would certainly not have to jump through these hoops? Someone please make sense of this, Thanks-FF
This is propaganda too ?
Implementing Advanced Electronic Data: Challenges and Opportunities
And this one :
Hundreds of millions of parcels into the US set to be rejected unless higher data quality threshold is met from January 1, 2021

Yeah I for one am not jumping the gun.. Sometimes good things can come out of situations I pray this is one of those times. I know every can't afford to pay such high costs for security but unfortunately it's the only way. Otherwise I may just move to country where it's over the counter lol I would prefer not to though... It's a huge challenge moving even inside a country let alone to a diff country sigh. That would suck

It is a really lame that they use the " war on drugs " to fuck everyone . lately, it is easier to get a gun than a pain killer or an anti anxiety med , something is terrible wrong. Of course, you can destroyed your liver and brain and use alcohol for pain , anxiety, insomnia, etc . May be that is what they want.

Most certainly...it has nothing to do with our health....if it did like you said there is enough evidence we have access to plenty of things that can harm us physically and internally. But it is obvious it has nothing to do with that, it's big p*h*@rma that's controlling the media to get what it wants. Doesn't that sound familiar to what happens when we want to enter particular countries for resources? The oblong box that sits in the corner of every living room becomes the tool to demonize an entire country or faith all for the sake of foreign interest. A bit off-topic but it's the same strategy they will use to get the public opinion to match their agenda. It's nothing new, nothing drives an agenda better than when public opinion is on your side. All for the benefit of some elite somewhere to have control. Believe me, if that wasn't the case the govt could have cared less... look at the Peruvian c0c@in situation that was going on for decades... the US questions their govt saying your flooding our streets with dr*ugs and their response? "Your Govt (for the benefit of big ph@rm@ or whatever the reason) is the major purchases of these products providing billions of dollars for it so who is doing what exactly?" So it's never about our health, unfortunately... correct me, anyone, if I may be wrong... listen to a track by Immortal Tech called *Peruvian C0c@!n* I don't listen to a lot of hip hop but if I do its underground lyrical and educational hip hop.

Going to listen them . Look just all the time it took for CBD oil to not be illegal ( and I am not even talking to be legal ) when the big pharmacy have at least 5 meds that are CBD analogue and are not better than CBD .
It is kinda sad . I even know a friend who got a prescription for queti@pine instead of X@n@ax cause the first one is not a controlled one ! Even it is not the right medicine for panic attack !

Thank you all for bringing these new regulations to our attention. I don't know why the government feel they need to continually protect us from ourselves. I think it's all about control. These new regulations are going to make it very difficult for both vendors and subscribers to function. Hopefully, the international courier service route will be a viable option for our beloved vendors going forward. Many vendors have overcome obstacles in the past, and hopefully they will be able to cope going forward.
