My husband has no family either -- his stepfather murdered his mother and then himself.

We happily cohabitation with cats, dogs and dust bunnies.  Housework evades us both, but my husband does try.  Mostly, we just keep to ourselves.

My life is such a bore. I have no family or good friends left in this world and I stay pretty much to myself.
My family now consist of my 4 pups. It kinda gets boring having 1 way conversations all the time.
But all I can do is try to keep putting 1 foot in front of the other.

Thank God I have my family here that helps keep me somewhat sane.

I'll write a bit more, then desist on this thread because I do understand that comparing horrendous and debilitating situations is fruitless and disrespectful to those who have been through more than myself.

I have a roof, though it can move, and food, and am in no pain.  My dad chose the gun, my son, the rope, so far as I can tell that leaves me the lead pipe, the candlestick, the wrench, and the knife.  As I keep my small RV neat and in good repair, the knife would be out of the question, and I don't think the lead pipe, candlestick, or wrench are doable.  So, family tradition and the hat trick notwithstanding, I hang in.

My problem is, and always has been, that I find too much interesting in the world, hard to give up.  I like cooking, and I like history and movies.  And a load of other stuff.  So, unlike so many here that suffer from contact, I am the opposite.  I just watched "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest", and that will keep me going for a time.  You know, it was the first movie in 41 years that swept the "Best Move" "Best Director" "Best Actor" "Best Adapted Screenplay" and "Best Actress" awards.  Always amazes me, the art.

So, it's really tough sometimes, the personal history, the abuse, the pressing needs of existence.  But, if you can free yourself from self and circumstance for a moment, this is some pretty amazing stuff.

I wish the best for all of you, and will get back to the regular forums.  Charon, you feel free to delete this.  I blame Isis.

best, the Spanker

my heart breaks for all of u. yes, i have spoken privately to many of u. these are new details for some.

and, spanky, i cannot remember ur life story. Perhaps we never met.

You tell me, my friends, what u want deleted.

In these types of threads, sometimes we just need to get the awfulness out for awhile.

If any of u would like any posts deleted, please do a PM to Me, or, in the alternative, just post my name in a popular thread and request a PM. I shall send u my email so u can speak.

Amazing lives. But, our lives r not necessarily what put us in a private forum like this.

Life is far tougher than it used to be. Far more tough than I anticipated.

May u all have peaceful, pain free days today.

Hi Charon, sorry, I was speaking generally and for others here when I wrote:

"So, it's really tough sometimes, the personal history, the abuse, the pressing needs of existence.  But, if you can free yourself from self and circumstance for a moment, this is some pretty amazing stuff."  I wasn't referring to myself in particular.  My life story is pretty much summed up on the two posts I made above, on this page.  No, we've not met.

Hi again Charon,

I couldn't think of a proper "popular" forum to post your name and ask for a PM to make my request.  If and when you look here again, please PM me with email for my request.

best, Spank
