I have been given a tracking number 5 days ago that does not work, either in the tracking system on the website itself or any other tracking site.

Nope, I think the Vendor has scammed you. Because so far I know there are many tracks still not working due to some site issues with Ph Post. But still the first thing that comes to mind is that you have been scammed so that may possibly be the case.

I know you haven't been scammed. Just a humorous side of mine got to you. Don't worry when you are communicating with me. I won't let you go except for when I itch.

I can vouch for MM. I never had a problem for years. Communication, payment, product, delivery, all top notch in my personal experience. Im sad that MM does not currently carry the product im buying.
But always be aware, It IS a jungle out there.

This was my first time macromass. Unfortunately I did get my first LL, but after receiving it I was in contact and found a solution.  

I just wanted to say I am really really really thankful for macromass. There are very few magazine stands that carry this magazine. I'm going to get personal for a moment and say that this magazine makes me not want to kill myself. That's why read it, but unfortunately it's hard and expensive to access from a librarian. So this is the only way for me to read this magazine, and I'm really really relieved and grateful that I can once again walk across an overpass and not immediately want to jump off.
Thank you. 
And thank you for putting up with my impatience and incessant questions about tracking the first time. I've been pretty desperate for this reading material for a while now, and it's all worth it now. 

(Oh and for those wondering, it took a little over 2 weeks from the time I ordered)
