The online wallet providers are abiding US Banking laws to avoid issues with US LE. Coinbase is notorious for locking transactions they deem unlawful but it's really hit or miss with iops. If they lock your account try another online wallet service. If that's not working for you maybe try a desktop walet, for your computer. I'm not fond of using phones, personally. That's just me though.

Far as purchases being tracked using online wallets, I'm not bothered by it as long as my orders are at personal quantities. That's me though and I'm not in pain. If I were I'd probably look into measures used by previous posters.

Yeah it really sucked had to open another account with someone else transfer my bitcoins to them and then had to sell them in the other account to get my funds back. The worst thing I knew it was a scam but still went ahead with it. My dumb side of me took over my rational thinking.

its moreso fear, IMHO. we all live month to month and when that is interrupted, we panic, and experience fear.

and so we may take chances we would not ordinarily do.

Happy everything worked out for you so far, retrieving your coins and all. As much as a PITA the retrieval process was, maybe the wallet service actually helped save your coins in this instance? Please don't take that as me being insensitive, I'm just thinking wherever the coins were going was a red flag for the wallet service. Personally, I've yet to have an online wallet service lock my account for a legit iop, *knocks on wood* BUT maybe others have?

If it's OK with the Admins, maybe it would be helpful for others to post negative experiences with online wallet services and iops, if there's any. Seems it would be good info for everyone and I gotta admit, I'm def. curious if wallet services are keen on iops. Coin transfer destination does play a role but the locations I've read about aren't an issue for most here, far as I can tell.

I just skimmed through some of the more recent posts and just wanted to add that crypto and bit coin have not been 'figured out', so-to-speak, if you follow safety guidelines and don't make trades through websites specifically like coinbase (for reasons mentioned) because they ARE monitored. And it's GOOD they are monitored because that is YOUR money sitting there and you can have peace of mind that you won't wake up one morning and have had someone hack your account and take all of your moneys.

As soon as you want to make a purchase, you can get a separate wallet for your coin, transfer the funds to it, use new wallet for purchase, discard wallet and done. It's the new age but instead of burner cell phones these are like burner wallets. The goal is speed and your footprint is minimized.

Mr Hind the money service did save me. No insensitive feelings with me I was just shocked that they froze it so quick. It was a hassle to get the coins back but better I had it than some other character that’s for sure. I think it would as well help out other members to know about there experiences with wallet services.

that sounds to be an important topic nowadays. so lets discuss the coins but please don't mention that xx pharmacy or yy pharmacy is taking them now.

What are some of the ballpark prices associated with bitcoin? I noticed the other day my bank offers Western union transfer right out of my account so I think thats a really good option. Has anyone ever tried this?
