Okay.. I never dealt with this guy before and I got a LinkedIn request from him... how the hell did he get my real name/info? I cannot believe this is just a "random" thing.... I blocked him but this is insane!

i had to close my linked in cuz tons of drug users were following me. or somehow got on my page.

It was when I was seeking legal work after death of husband. It is atrocious that people do that. I no longer use it as I am disabled and when I checked my page, I never allowed these weird LE attention drawing people on my linked in account. I don't do criminal law. Quite disturbing. And, I was hacked to get me to allow them on my page. Cuz I surely would not allow a vendor with a colorful past whom i detest on my linked in. geeze.

Most of us keep very divided lives.

But i like to go on and see what my son has put up. Sometimes. And now its ruined cuz people follow whom we are.

I think google chrome or another browser, when i reformatted cuz of morons whom think i have the secrets of meds in my mail, put up all info on emails i used 17 yrs ago. Lots of info went up with google. Payments. It is keeping track of much.

And i detest facebook. I keep it on lockdown. We have lost all privacy.

After reading here, I decided to not even bother trying to question this guy. Just a bad call on my part to have rushed in. Wrote it off as a loss and a lesson. Finally rec’d a goofy assortment of who knows what from him. Know it’s gonna be crummy and possibly dangerous reading material, but feeel like I’ll have to find out at some point if there’s any redeeming value... probably should not though, eh? I’m a  pretty hearty, big fellow.

Hackers and their software are extremely sophisticated these days.  Sooo many email providers, social media platforms, and numerous websites have been hacked in the past years.  This especially hurts the millions of people who use a single password for all platforms.  It is very much in everyone's interest to update their passwords on all their accounts.  Try to use different passwords for different accounts, and use moderately strong passwords (random letters, characters, and numbers).  You can write them on a piece of paper.  That's a lot more secure than a universal or weak password.  But honestly, if you use a password that's somewhat weak and with multiple accounts.. You WILL be hacked and compromised.  It's the age we live in.  I.E. 'Rusty_1982' seems a bit strong but will inevitably get hacked.  You must be stronger.

Do not go gentle in that good experiment. It can lead to death. New vendor? suspect? Test the product. But with a testing kit.

Thank you much Charon. It’s amazing to be able to talk with people who get it and care. Don’t really have that elsewhere in my life. Some peeps who really love me, but not that many- but they do not understand (fully) what my personal brand of chronic pain is like, and they don’t quite understand the best treatment I have found. Some do more than others. But mostly they suspect I’m causing my own troubles. It’s such BS. They don’t really get what I’m up against. And they have no idea how they’d handle my situation.

Of course I had already tested the two different looking types in the pouch,on separate nights at least, I’m not completely reckless. But on those separate nights I had other things going on too, so hard to make much assessment. Sounds like there are much smarter ways and I’ll need to search web to see how that works- what you mentioned.

tommy, there is a thread under general IOP discussion (hard to link from my tablet) about where to purchase F test strips.  I got mine from DS.  Stay safe

Thank you, Noel and Charon. Very, very helpful. I’ll report back (after refreshing myself on the rules), but yes, I’m such a... not very smart person- and figured the most direct way to test would be on myself. Which is true to some extent, but pretty risky with small chance of quality help from it.
But for curiosity’s sake alone, I’d like to test these two types.
