That time of year!

For 2017 and 2018, the 100-country-plus Oper***on Pan**a took place in late September/October. The added vigilance cost me a couple of subscriptions and my only official LLs (though I've had other orders that didn't arrive). It also shut down a number of legitimate and not so legitimate vendors. Anyone else concerned or should we carry on with business as usual?

I really wonder about this this, it may well cut off my backups which I like to have when I can because of blackouts-hurricanes etc.

Can't always count on pharmacies being open or doc availability.

Avoid for next 6 weeks?  Can't afford to risk great scrutiny-god this is so maddening and 10 min from when I am is an open air outdoor market selling every poison you can think of but my backup meds? No, we can't allow that but any garbage in a bag...feel free.

Yes, it was originally in the spring but has been in the fall the last two years. September and October. Interpol and country authorities are happy to boast about the results in press releases and not a peep so far. Makes me think it’s coming soon.

It just so happened that it was around the same time the last 2 years. You can’t count on that it will also be at the same time every year. It changes.

Orange Rabbit you do make a good point-they can do it whenever and having seen the new machines-I am just more concerned than ever.  Roll of the dice no matter what you do these days.

People are still around and kindness and understanding can be found here at iop.

It is just that one problem can burn a lot of bridges.

OR - true, it can happen anytime. But Interpol and country LE agencies rightfully play up their success in the media, within a couple of weeks of the “Operation”. We’re running out of months for 2019. BTW, this thread was just meant to highlight another pressure out there, not create any fear. People should make their own choices. I personally have a magazine order en route (I hope). To be fair, the activity also does some good...lots of scammers and fake goods are permanently taken out of the pipeline.

It was a good post and a valid point-if it has not happened this year and it might good to think about it.

If have to cross borders this is important-and you might was to reconsider your choices-but in the end it is all luck anything can happen.

Plan and be safe but everyone is in a different set of circumstances-personally I have lost friends and I have had to move so old addresses are not helpful.  New ones are a royal pain when you have arthritis.

I went online and tried to look up OP for this year. Wasn’t able to find anything yet. Levi517 thanks for the heads up. I am wondering if by some slim chance it did happen already but not in the news yet?....

IMO, based on one vendor who has been 'ratted' on and has confirmed magazines seized as of recent, all I can do is speculate, but I do have a feeling that it is almost over if they are operating for the same length as last year...

This is based on other members' successful transactions with a particular vendor followed by a number of those (myself included) whose ship dates were a couple days (to a week) later than those whose mags made it without a hitch. Myself and another highly-ranked individual at IOP have had a very close ship date as well as an almost identical 'shuffle' of our birds where they appeared to be 'unsure of where to go next'...

Neither of these movements have been seen, personally, (or heard of) by us, EVER, until now. One of mine looks as if it's back in flight and no longer 'being looked at'...

Though, whether or not the bird is back on rote to its intended destination, has yet to be seen. There is still the possibility that it is indeed back on course, to a different area or grave. Hopefully a controlled delivery is not being considered. Mine has 1 of 3 possibilities as of today...it arrives, it's headed to a 3rd check, or a CD may happen considering it's 'still on the map'.

If it turns up and in good shape...I'd be inclined to say that the worst is over, if not all of it.

I know this isn't very 'scientific' in an approach to answer the question, but my gut feeling rarely lets me down. I'm anticipating a report to come out about XII within the next 1 to 2 weeks.
