There is  TV news station and an online one for Channel 12. Local news specific to Westchester and more of NY State.

Not sure why, but a story came on in print, after Cuomo did his daily uptake. It was about how many many in Westchester and NY State are freaking out cuz covid has just stopped most deliveries coming from elsewhere.  Suspect deliveries.

So, be prepared if u can.  It is bleak now.  But according to the Press, it will get much worse. And USPS is threatening a strike first in Oct and now in Sept cuz they dont make enuff money.  they have no ppe.  but we use their pens. oooh.

Hundreds died in NY.  Those mostly on ventilators too long. Or serious under lying conditions.

Was at the grocery and an older guy was pushing a cart and coughing and coughing- and not covering his face at all.

I looked at him and then he started to cough into his arm.

Later I saw him coughing while bending over the frozen food section.

Talked to one of the employees and they said they can only ask him to cough into his arm and that is it.

So sad what people do and do not realize the danger they may be causing.

Security guards were hired at a Dollar General store. And the poor security guard asked a woman to put on a mask. Kindly. And she came back with her mother father and brother and they killed the security guard.

That is not freedom. They have all seemingly gone into the dementia stage of this illness. Can happen at beginning and when one is fairly comatose. We know they will have lasting impacts on their brain. their lungs.


And now children are developing a new variant of this virus. It begins with rash, rash on toes of children. If u are near children, maybe check out their specific symptoms.

I cannot believe that all this is just happenstance. It was perpetrated upon us I believe. And some dude in California, on the highway, threw out hundreds of face masks. And people stopped their cars on the highway, jumped out and grabbed these masks. Put them on. OMG. It is that easy to get the fearful to do something so stupid. I fear they were all contaminated. But, I am absolutely gobsmacked by the comments of some on facebook. And the words of those in power. Sound to be madmen. And i did not raise myself to ever ever think badly of a president as i dont do politics.. I won't. But, man, are we screwed. Thank God our gov in NY, yes i am biased as he is an attorney also, presents facts. Just the facts m'am.

Covid is not curable. The US military, after spending millions to make an air show over NY that healthcare workers would not see, but merely to start off the trumps campaign were out. And now he passes into law that if one has recovered from this virus, they will never be allowed to join the US military.

There is far too much permanent brain (dementia) and lung and heart damage. Blood clots.

So that is why they want to see if we have antibodies. To be discriminated against.

If anyone has lost someone, or has a heart for ministry, go to Remembering the Lives Lost to Covid-19. It is a facebook group. The admin saw how i posted to others in that evil world of facebook. And she asked me to join. We see the pictures of loved ones whom passed. And the survivors reaction. And many of us have joined now. Open almost two weeks. In Boston. We even reach Turkey. We say Your beloved mother has a lovely smile. you can see her kindness shine through. Will be keeping you in prayer.

It is overwhelming. Or it can be. Laura Kelly is tha admin there. You PM her or sign up. She or her husband will admit u as a prayer warrior or as someone whom lost loved ones to covid.

So its kinda good it is so quiet here. It means so much to the survivors to have a permanent memorial. Be it online for now.

That group sounds wonderful. It’s truly awful many victims and mourners can not have a proper ceremony. I can’t imagine not being able to visit a loved one in the hospital and then losing them, and to top it off not being able to gather in their memory. At least is it a way for people to honor and carry their memory

COVID-19 Pandemic Will Impoverish Millions of Aging Americans

Charon and All.  I got my first taste of this issue this month so far!!  I have been dealing with an earache, been to PCP two times this month!!  I dreaded going to a Drs office but had no choice.  Ended up with antibiotic ear drops and oral.

But what I want to say is in relation to the above article about Impoverishing Aging Americans! 

I have had a co-pay on Dr appts of $20 with Medicare for years.  Well the first appt I had on May 6th I was informed my co-pay had jumped to $35.00  I just looked at the woman and said that as far as I knew Social Security paid 80 percent and my co-pay has always been $20.00!!!!  She claimed that that had changed.  I just looked at her, put the $20.00 on the counter and told her "Good Luck with getting the other $15.00 - call Social Security!!  Now that was May 6th. 

Well, my appt on Tuesday was a follow-up to the problem.  Ended up with getting my ears flushed and the Dr poking THRU the swelling in my right ear to as she put it "Get a better look"!!!!!  It felt like she poked into my brain!  Ear started to bleed etc. 

Again my point:  When checking out Tuesday, a different woman told me I owed my co-pay for the visit.  $47.50!!!
I had a $20 in my hand.  I opened my purse and put in back in my wallet and told her sorry.  No money!!  Need to eat for the rest of the month.  Bill me!!!

I know it is not the fault of these girls checking me out, and when I spoke to them I was not mean or nasty.

But really!!!?????  From $20.00 to $35.00 to $47.50 in 2 and a half weeks?????!!!!!!!!!

I am really feeling the "poor people" syndrome!  We are viewed as expendable.
I also stopped by my local Giant grocery store for a few things.  Was hungry for a burger and salad.  I don't know what you all are paying for 1 POUND of hamburger but the price on the burger I DID NOT buy was $12.00!!!!!!  WTH?????

I will not survive long with this all happening.  I know meats will come down in price, but until Drs can get back to
their full schedule, I guess price gouging is the New Normal??!!!

That is so sad Slick. Hang in there. 'Groups form to bring food from restaurants or such and deliver to the sick and elderly. But yeah, so many shelves are empty here. I got sent packets of oatmeal and water from a relative.

No stimulus check yet either. Many of us are waiting. If you can, hold on cuz groups of teens and people are putting together food to deliver to homebound, sick, and elderly. And u dont necessarily pay.

Many many in NYC are going hungry. Rather insane. And comanies have upped our bills.

Poor Slick. Hang on. No idea how to move or where to move. i can crowd in four beds to one bathroom with younger people. Tossed out of schools.

Stay safe. I am so sorry u did not get ur favorite foods. Some places like Wendy's took meat off the menu. And of course the store prices keep jacking up costs. No work around.

You have my sympathy. Many of us won't make it thru. All my love, Slick.

I have followed the damn stimulus check. Tis 1200 only and rents here for a shared room cost way more than that.

I finally found info that they were mailing out the last of social security ones. On May 28, So check ur bank acct if u have direct deposit.

Mine came today.

My grandmother still hasn’t received hers, I’ve been checking her bank daily but it never came with her SSI deposit last month or this month. I did just find out that they have also been sending them via a debit card. That’s the first I’ve heard of that, I thought was supposed to be a check but this article says otherwise... Article

Not sure why but i read that also. I know many thieves were doing the mail box drive on by, and possibly that card is safer than a check? dunno.

they had my direct deposit info for ten yrs. And i received like last in NY. I read the cards go out today and next week.
