I never knew about his earlier songs. The last video is supposed to be a Playlist by the person whose name is on the first two. They are all from this concert. I hope it plays correctly. I never knew just how underrated he was until I just recently saw these songs. Before his "Disco Era", or other songs. I'm not saying he wasn't good in those songs, but he is really, really superb here.

I hope the correct eight songs play. Two I've already posted. I didn't know how to post someone's Playlist. I meant to post only the ones from this particular concert.

Well said Blubistek: "I felt sorry for the people who bought his albums after hearing Long tall glasses and the few disco hits because his songs were so much deeper than what they bought the records for." Most people from my generation think of him as just a disco one hit wonder. The man not only has an amazing vocal range, but is such a talented writer and performer as well.

One of the most hauntingly beautiful and insidiously depressing songs, ever. He's another musical genus. Saw him live in a small venue in the mid 70s and he was superb. He even wore this costume.

I remember seeing him in newcastle in the seventies. He sat and sang that song. It was beautiful. You could have heard a pin drop in the audience. Mesmerising and faultless. I've never forgotten it.

@pamharvey1 Pam.  He grew up in Shoreham in Sussex. He was famous for being a bit of a nerd, and one of his errands was to deliver leaflets for his church. He used to call on a big house in an upmarket avenue in the town. When he did, a girl who lived there used to invite him in for tea. She was a beautiful dance student hoping to be a ballerina. He admits he was secretly in love with her. On her summer break she went travelling and worked as a dancer in a disco in Switzerland (this would be very early 70s I guess). She was in a steel cage over the dance floor performing when the cable broke and the fall broke her neck, killing her. I saw him tell this tale in an interview made about 12/15 years back .  It brings the whole song to life and I think he is still grief stricken about her.

I saw him in Bracknell on the same tour. It seemed like the perfect song and completely transported me.
