Dear Shayna, I am hoping that you & your husband are feeling a bit better today. The honey, lemon & vodka sounds like a good remedy & I hope it helps you. Hang in there Shayna.

Thanks, everyone. I had a follow-up visit with a Dr today. Another chest xray was done, and it was good! The Dr prescribed a coedone cough medicine. Too soon yet to see if it is helping, but I am hopeful.

I also am waiting to get an Echocardiagram on my heart, to rule out cardiac problems. That's a little unsettling, so I would appreciate your prayers if you are inclined.

Thanks everyone, and special thanks to you Charon -- I need all the prayers anyone will offer!

I finally got a dr to prescribe some coedine cough syrup. I was nervous about taking it, because I haven't taken coedine anything in years, and I have a history of multiple drug allergies. I have had 3-4 doses so far, and it seems to finally be starting to work!

My chest and ribs are starting to be less sore. I still have a cough, but I am not losing control and vomiting etc. My voice is still shredded, but I can talk just a little bit.

I am still short of breath and awaiting the Echocardiagram to be scheduled. I am going to see if my insurance company can hurry them up a bit.

Thanks, Fireplaces. I hope you are right.

I am having a lot of trouble getting the test scheduled, so my husband is escalatin this as an issue. I still can't speak much without totally losing my voice -- it just goes up, up and poof -- away!!
