Admin, there are a lot of times I come to the site to sign in, and I am already signed in.Â
Yes, I made sure I signed out.
Yes, I changed my password.
Anone else have this problem? It is freaking me out a little bit, due to privacy concerns.
I'd appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks in advance.Â
Best,
Rev

Hi Rev,
That's happened to me a few times, but it's always because I logged in from my phone and forgot to log off, or logged in from one of the three laptops, two tablets, or 7 PCs in our household and forgot to log out. Even if you close the browser, the forum won't log you out automatically, you have to log out before closing the browser, or next time you come to the URL, it will still show you as logged in.
You probably thought of all that already, and AOS will no doubt be along shortly to provide more possibilities, but I thought I'd share my own experience with this issue in case anyone else is encountering it.
Great to see you in the threads, we seem to be missing each other by minutes in the Cafe lately

Hey B2G, nice to see you!Â
I only use my phone, and I double check to make sure it says I am logged out before I leave the site. No other open tabs, either.Â
I appreciate the feedback, regardless. :-)
Maybe a glitch?

Your phone leaves a cache of the websites you have visited.
Depending upon your phone type you need to learn how to clear the cache
Otherwise you will not be logged in while not at the site, but auto logged in when visiting.
Gawd forbid its an Iphone...
A simple google search will show you how to clear your website history, and saved data

History or basically what we call Cache is your thief my friend. Better to set browser preferences to NEVER REMEMBER HISTORY and to CLEAR CACHE ON EXIT. This would be the one and only solution to your problem.
P.S. On the other hand if someone else is using your account to post on your behalf isn't it a good thing that your burden is being divided by someone else who really cares for you. Kidding.

Thanks, guys, for all the great replies. I thought it was the tooth fairy or tinkerbell, messing with me. I'll try to remember to do that.
You guys are Da Bomb, if I must say so myself.
Toodles!

It does the same to me. Not this site but many websites and even once my bank. I believe I have seen the button on clearing the caches. I was always afraid of what other consequences this would do. Ok I;m ignorant with this stuff. When you clear all your caches does that affect other parts of phone/computer?

Nope, It only clears all your recent Cookies/History/Cache which helps pages load faster and prevents you from getting hacked/tracked as well in certain cases. I have set my browser to clear all my cache records/passwords/history soon as i exit my browser. Entering passwords again and again is indeed a pain but saves you from troubles later.
