Idk if this is the right area to post so I appologize in advance. I remember the old site, which I was not a member & would rarely visit (mostly to see who was recommended and NOT use them (the girly color & the pill nazi). It all seemed very odd. Idk what happened to the old site and I don't really care for the details. I am very glad that I decided to revisit and join the "new" site. Everybody seems really helpful and the Mods/Admin are very friendly when it comes to technical issues/general problems. Thanks for having me as a member. I have read the rules a few times just to make sure I am crossing my i's and dotting my t's. I know I am new & don't know a lot of people yet but I do feel welcome here. Thanks guys & gals for having me. If this is OT feel free to go outback and get a switch. Also Charon I saw a post where you said Holy Toledo! I have only heard a few ppl say that, one being myself, the other an old guy at work. Smile

I review the rules at least once a week still, as I'm new here myself - But I did post a hot link to an external site (totally innocuous OTC dietary product site), and Charon was kind enough to ask me to refrain from doing so in the future.  I completely understand why the admins don't want hot linking, and I should have thought about it before posting - It's a habit from work, where I often have to provide hot links in our user support forums to patches, hotfixes, or documented solutions.  Just wanted to mention how kind Charon was in her request to me - Other forum admins would have "put me on blast".

When I write, as I do so frequently, how pleased I am to have found this wonderful community, I'm not just referring to the members, but to the leadership as well.  Especially my new-found friends Ice and Admin of Steel - I expect in the future to receive a slap on the back of my head from either or both of them if I screw up, but I'll take any guidance in stride - You leaders are the shepherds here, and I'll do my best to be a well-behaved sheep!

I agree back2good. I read the rules too a lot. Lol I forget or just want to make sure I'm not in violation! If I ever see a warning on my user cp. I would have a heart attack.
The admins and members really do care and the rules are a good thing. I don't think they are strict at all. I probably wouldn't feel as safe posting or talking with anyone if the rules weren't in place and enforced. I find that people who usually end up getting into "hot water" or have violations on here its because they didn't read the rules, don't care of made a big oops/ and were warned before. But everyone is pretty understanding and not just wardens of the site.
Good postSmile Well-behaved sheep! I am happy you are here my friend!

I've learned in other forums, when it comes to posting anything other than the flavor vanilla. When in doubt, don't. It's simple and keeps one in good graces. Now it's good to maintain the truth and facts and evidence of such. However, drawing conclusions or insinuations is poor form.

So, if you are new, if you have a bad day, I shall edit out country of origin if you include it by mistake.  And, save your post count.

Members of this thread, I am afraid a few of u r scared off.

If you are discussing the comms (communications with a vendor,) or the quality of a product u received, (admin of steel said: u don't have to post what u receive,) please do so.

I won't ban u for that. I shall edit, or leave it be.

We are losing members I feel because of strictness.

We are losing our family values.

I, for one, want to be able to say Hello to barq in the thread he posts in the most.  Hello to Dusko in hers.

And, hear Snappy's opinion. And, like many of you, I love to see you give high praise to our vendors such as Dusko.  Top ten.  ppe2u.  Macro Mass.  SS4u.

Ok?

But, for topics totally off the wall, or comparing two vendors etc, please use the special area our Moderator Athena created.

Now, don't go bananas on me.  No jabberwocky in vendor threads.  Many want to jump on, get the info and jump off.  But, now, with new posting mandates, people will post:  Dusko is the best.  Its standard practice.

It allows the vendor to interact well with the client.

Deal? Let us be family again. And, feel comfortable. And, see how it goes.

YES its better to have rules...i remember how topix was ,some craizy dopped up people will come out and post the tracking numbers ,shipping adresses, personal information, acusing each other with the most offencive dirty language you can think of ...serioulsy you made a paradise here comparing to what was going on on Topix ...admins are doing great job two thumbs up...

Thanks for the comfort Chardon. I'm a newbie and was afraid to be specific. Good to know you edit postings. I don't want to be banned! You are awesome!

Whoops, that is Chardon, Chardon, but perhaps you are a sweet wine!

Whoops, did it again, must be my editor CHARON. Need to add you to the dictionary!

Thanks Ice, just reread what I said and I see how that could be taken the wrong way. I meant my phone, you know when it changes the words on you, that is what was happening. Sorry about that!
