Hi everybody,

I am new here in this forum, but in I must admit I am somehow almost a veteran concerning all the subjects around OPs. I was (still am passive) member in a another forum you all know (DB...), but under another username. I was mainly only using the forum for information, and not really participating a lot. But when things started to mess up with TTM last year, which was for years a reliable supplier for me, I started to get more active and connecting with a few members there, which helped me a lot.

As I said in my subject, I live in the middle of the EU. As you must know, laws and customs are really tough here and at the same time TTM got in trouble I had serious issues with customs (coincidence? don't know...).

So at this time, a new OP (inside EU) popped up there (also listed here but black), I tried it and am very happy customer since then. But suddenly late last year, al the posts about this OP werde deleted over there and a lot of members were banned for reasons which are still totally unclear to me.

But because of al these strange things happening over there, all this censorship, I am not really using this other forum any more. But worse, I lost contact to some people who live in the same area I live and who are facing the same difficulties and problems.

So, I am glad to be a member here now, and would be even more happy to find some people from the area in the world where I live to connect and discuss things that matter to us.

I will go into details about the points I mentioned above if it is of any interest to you. I will use the threads and subjects which are already there. In any case you can also contact me directly (is this possible as newbie? Im am not such a passionate writer myself, so it will take rather long to reach 50 posts to be able to PM myself and read the senior part.)

So anyway. Happy to be here and looking forward to what will come...

Hi there and welcome to the forum. I am in the UK, and it's good to meet another European (I say that with some irony after my own country's ludicrous Brexit vote - but I still feel European).
Once you get your 50 posts, you will be able to PM others and receive our messages; until then, see you around on the boards! There are lots of good sources here including some in areas that might interest you and I even more than they will some of our US friends. Read around as much as you can and you will discover a great deal. Other sections open up after you reach 50 posts.

thanks a lot for your warm welcome. And, Rose5555, good to see, there are members form Europe here. My first impression after registering here, was it is mainly US only. But (and that as nothing to to with the recent referendum, (which I think will turn out as one of the biggest mistakes in European history)) the situation in UK is and was totally different from the one here in Germany. From former discussions I know, it is much easier for you to to access various sources from overseas and for me, ordering from UK is not a option (even though it still is UK) because customs here in Germany is checking the sendings coming in from UK.

So I am curious, if there are other members here, maybe even from Germany or members who are experienced with ordering from EU sources? And of course I am curious what is behind this 50-posts-door.

Because honestly, from what I see now, I doubt, that I will find very much which can be helpful for me, because topics which are relevant to me (EU OPs/problems with customs/legal issues/special situation in my country...) are not discussed here yet, so there is little for me to contribute what also will make it hard to reach the 50 post bell (and I know, this one does not count...). As I don't like small talk very much I will not try to reach that with some irrelevant topics just to push my post-count...

So anyway, I think this really is a good place, so I will just relax an see how things will develop.

Happy to have you Pitschnass. You have come to the right place.  Took me almost 2 years, since the re-administrative clearance back in 15' to acquire my 50  + posts thus, no need to worry. It can be done at your own pace, just make sure you check in with us once in a while..
