I would suggest going to the general public thread and checking out SS for you.

Modafinil is fairly easy to find. I would agree with the sources above.
I've tried modafinil with the AM coffee, and it does give you a noticeable boost. Nothing crazy, but if you work crazy hours, it does help you through those early morning hours. I did not sleep well like I was expecting. So, it somewhat helps my wake-sleep pattern but I find it fails on the sleep pattern. Theres just nothing normal about trying to go to sleep at 6PM because you have to wake up at 2AM.
If that is your case, I suggest no naps and some vigorous exercise helps reset your sleep-wake pattern. As difficult as it is, avoid the sofa when you get home and pick up the weights, running shoes, bike, etc...
Not sure if you work strange hours or not, but my advice extends to all who work off hours and struggle with sleep.

Good advice Stripers, I work in the film business and a short day is 12h. The older I get the harder it is put in these long days and I've talked to some coworkers that suggested I try Moda.

So true J. Weird hours take their toll. Especially as we age a bit.
Love my work, hours I could do without.
