You can also get tofu already marinated,more money though,do you get tempe in the US?Not sure if thats right spelling,cant get it here,not seen any.
Similar to tofu,used to get in in Holland really cheap,not sure where it comes from,very tasty.

I like tofu as well.  Get it when we go out sometimes.  Someone told me a way to make it even better is to first slowly squeeze out the water in it, via a plate on top of it with a heavy can in fridge.  Then when you marinate it, it soaks up more of the marinade.

Weather-wise, I am gonna be in the lavender zone.  Brrr.  

Hey Cricket, I was thinking again about the fence you can't afford.  Even if you could afford one, wouldn't it be risky for you to let your dogs out, as you aren't supposed to have more than one?  

Linville, thank you dear friend for the lovely PM.  In terms of the new thread, I always kind of liked Shayna's thread at that other place -- Today I Helped My Wellness By thread.   Maybe I will PM/email her and ask if it's ok for me to use.  Not sure I have her email, but oh well.  

It sure has been a weird winter so far.  We have not had any significant snow yet which is odd so late in the year. Think ski areas out west.  I have a feeling once it starts, it is not gonna stop.  

Dancing Wolf, I am so sorry for your pain.  I have missed you and it makes me happy to know you are out there reading.  

Cricket -- best of luck with your doc visit.  Did you say it was today?

Hi Fire,

Well, it's now official. My PM doc has sent me packin' to find a new doc.
Usually all of my appointments I see his PA. Today, both of them walked into the room and I figured something not good was coming. He told me (after many yrs. of goin' to him) that he could not keep prescribing PK's because they are mainly to do procedures to help with pain. They always wanted me to get more of those stupid back injections, but because I have NO ONE that can take me there and drive me home, I've had to tell them I had no way. I said I had no problem with gettin' it done if they would allow me to drive there and back home alone. Of course they don't allow that.

He gave me the name of a couple of doc's closer to where I live that can prescribe meds for people like me that can't get these procedures done or afford the co-pays. I don't know if he was tellin' me the truth or just trying to get rid of me. Like I've said before, I've never done anything wrong and have never been called out on anything in my UA's, nothing. This has me pretty upset, but my situation doesn't seem to mean anything. Believe me, if I could go to get these things done I would.
At least he did ok another months refill when it comes due later this month. I'm just sooooo scared this new doc may try to change what I take now that helps. I swear, my life just gets better and better each day. Don't know how much more I can take. Merry Christmas to me I guess.

I just pray he was truthful about the other doc taking care of my meds for me, but with my luck, I'm terrified.

Sorry for the sob story, but I'm really bummed by all of this and what my life has become. IT SUCKS!

Anyway, I hope you guys have a better weekend than I know I'll have. STRESS and more STRESS for dis bug again.

Aw cricket. Try not to get to worried yet. Why don't you try and get an appt as soon as your insurance will allow with the new physician so you will know if he will continue the same way as this last physician. He did give you a few names so that is good. He just didn't send you to the street, so to speak. I would get on top of it ASAP so you don't get totally stressed out waiting months for the next appt. I have to believe this will work out.

That sucks cricket,folk in pain don't need all this messing around,not right at all,i cant face having that needle up my back,no way,it hardly does anything from what i have been told by others who have had it done.

I hear ya TG. I've had the injections done once and it was no help. Anyone else I've talked to that's done it have not been impressed either. I believe it's just another way for doctors to grab more of your insurance money, but if that's what they require me to do to keep giving me my meds, I'll have to do it. They kinda hold ya over a barrel that way.

I am waiting for a call back from the new PM doc's office today. I PRAY he will not leave me out in the cold.

Hi Cricket,

Best of luck with your new doc.  I used to have back trouble when I was younger, 40s, got it on film, etc.  I was in Florida at a pain clinic and the Doc there wanted to do some injections.  I just said no.  I'd already recently gone through the cancer treatment, and just didn't want any more poking. 

Right now I'm dealing with the long term residuals of radiation to jaw and neck, but backs can be very painful.  Mine was at time so bad I coudn't more, just lay.  No big pain unless I moved.  Eventually, I was able to solve that problem, without surgery or injections. 

I do hope hard for you that your new Doc knows the difference between constant pain and seeking behavior.  I know how scary it can be not to know where you will get help.  For the moment I found a friendly FNP in a regional health center in the middle of a small town in Arizona.  It's a rock hound town, full of RV parks and rock sales.  Our park has a "lapidary" shop on site and a class/use, once a week for a very small fee.  I don't know much about it, I guess it's like lap dancing or something, in which case I'm in of course.

Well, the new doc who my PM doc gave me called back saying he's not doin' PM. Oh great.
Waiting on call back from another one, but I'm soooo worried I won't find one. Don't know what I will do if I can't find help.
I'm REALLY worried.
