Phil ochs did the only song dedicated to kitty genovese, a girl killed viciously in NYC whilst something like 300 people sat in their apts hearing her be killed and not one called the police.  they could have saved her.  the predator raped her and returned to kill her after half hour.  One call to the police, and she would have lived.  But, no one wanted to get involved.

I may have thrown in a depression song.  I did a thesis on it.  The unions.  We were union organizers in the coal mines of ireland and had to get to US fast.  We were not appreciated, let us say.  I interviewed the people and I read, and I studied all the music.

Carry on.  I gotta get out emotions via music sometimes & only on here can i save music. sorry.
