Good Advice Thread
#1
Okay, so I've been watching Parks & Recreation, marathon-style, and I just heard Ron Swanson give out one of my favorite advice nuggets I've ever heard- I use and give it often. (Excuse the cursing, it's a direct quote.)

"Never half-ass two things, Leslie. Whole-ass one thing."

What is the best advice you've ever been given- and did you take it, or did you only recognize how genius it was later? (Been there, done that.)

The advice can be just nuggets, applicable to anything, or if you want you can explain more about the situation and why it was such good advice. Aaaaand... go!

"Everything in life is only temporary"

When I feel life becoming unmanageable or emotions get the best of me it helps to repeat "this is only temporary"

Feel the fear and do it anyway. I use this often to push me through situations i want to bail on.

Don't spit into the wind,
Don't pull the mask off the Lone Ranger,

And don't mess around with Slim Wink
