Is this Normal for a newbie account?

Please can anyone shed any light on the following...

I'm having issues with my account on here. Not sure if it's cuz I hadn't "logged in" properly for the last 3 to 4 months, or if there is even any issue at all.

The problem is that I when click on ANY users name, INCLUDING MY OWN, I do not get taken to the relevant page I.E. my own user CP, other users CP, or the relevent place/topic. Even to welcome them or access my own personal profile(unless I use the ACTUAL USER CP button and even then I cant get much info, like where I got my Reputation Points from etc). I am SURE I was able to access at least some of this before, be it by clicking on new users names to welcome them or goto that particular topic, and I know I could certainly see where my reputation points came from...

Has it changed? Or is my account not quite playing ball? Maybe it'll just right itself when I get to the magic 50!

Hey Izzy76,
Have you tried clicking of the rep ratings number itself to take you to the details of where the rep's came from. Should be able to do that on anyones and see them.

Like Charon said they have been some corruptions and AOS is working on them but hopefully he sees your question and will check into your CP and if there is something he can do.

Which browser are you using. Because no such issue found in the coding.

Yeah, I wonder too AOS, because I just went to Izzy76 member page because I was reading a post they made and I xould click on their ratings and all looked normal.

I wonder if it is because not 50 posts yet is the issue and you know how that restricts certain actions so anyway if I was us I would wait until member gets beyond the 50 post count and re-checks everything for normal use after .....just saying

Thank you Admin of Steel, I know your always busy keeping our home site straight. I guess it's kinda trivial anyways, but I really do appreciate your time.  I'm not far off my 50 now.  I'll see if I can get 3 more today and see what happens.  

That said I do think your right about the issue being with at my end(the current browser im using is Chrome on a galaxy tablet atm, though yet again on Friday, I could not log in to pay my weekly gas/electric bill, using the standard "android" browser, but it logged in first time when I switched over to chrome (on same device). However, Chrome will still not allow me to use my debit card payment as it won't get passed the "verified by Visa security"...it's the same story with the 2 android phones in the house. I think the trusted security certificates/SSL have been messed with, I know by who, I don't know why and I'm still at a loss as to how to put an end to her shananigans. I look after a 79 year old lady, and her bank details were stolen(not by the hacker), luckily I caught it in time and no money was stolen, but it was only because my AV + anti-malware had been disabled by said hacker that it happened!

I'm getting so bl@@dy frustrated with this! I used to programme computer games just for fun, I taught myself assembler for goodness sake when I was 14 years old from nothing but a book, I had a full commercial game in shops all around the world when I was 17...
Not a smash hit or anything, but I DO totally understand computers yet I can't stop this one spiteful idiot from messing around with my internet just because they can!!  Spiteful idiots - I don't understand!

Still, it's good to know there ARE decent people in the world!

Well, I'm on the old Laptop, running FireFox under Linux Mint(MATE 32bit) and its still not playing nice! Oh-well, will see what happens when I get the Magic 50!

Again its probably my screwed-up equipment/OS. This ol'thang is sooo-slooow! It super-sucks as I got my build computer just sat there next to this ol'thang, it's taunting me lol, and I won't use it cuz I'm beyond fed up playing "re-install"...(It's got 16Gig Mem, i5 3.4Ghz, multiple SSD's/Water Cooled Rad+UV Modded Lighting/GeForce GTX GPU Card).  It looks cool with the UV lights (shame its just an very expensive door stop atm! )
 
Gonna give up on M$(Shame cuz its a paid for OEM version too!). Will have to try all out Linux on my build machine
...when I get some mental energy back!

Yes, I totally agree Charon, I know you understand! I dont have a lot of money, it took me ages to get the parts to build my main computer(I sold a mountain bike that cost a lot of money/time to restore to pay for part of it), I have literally 2-300 hundred pounds(£) of brand new books that I can't even start to work through! Hell, I can't even pay my bills online unless I use this ol'thang! I hate spiteful people...I can't even empathise in any way I try with them...Anyways to hell with them - there just not worth my energy!

Well, it's ALL working again now...clicking on names etc. Must have done some magic when I hit the 50!
