Florida/The Caribbean/Irma check in
#1
I thought that since we were under a statewide emergency order and preparing for the worst, we might want to have a check-in thread.

Storm is currently having sustained winds of 185 miles per hour, with gusts up to 220mph. Will be starting to hit Caribbean Islands soon. This is a monster storm.

Trying hard not to have a heart attack or stroke. Very scary stuff. Harvey was bad enough.

Good Luck to all and stay safe, Rumor

lord have mercy. this cannot be happening again. the weasels at channel 2 had said it was a kinder, more gentle storm yesterday.

Please be safe.

Evacuation for the Florida Keys and coastal areas, just came out. Schools closing Thursday and Friday, so they can be made into shelters.

This is damn serious stuff.

Could you imagine what it would be like if there were things like global warming or climate change? (Major Sarcasm). Going to take my meds now. R.

Not good Linville. A friend told me that I 75 is already bumper to bumper trying to get out of the state.

And I have a not so smart friend who thinks she is going to get to fort Myers on Thursday to help her parents. I told her she needs to go now. Flight are already being canceled.
