I would love to be able to tag certain, when the time arises to make a comment addressing a specific person, or I if I find information that someone else is looking for.
I don't know if this is a feature, but if it is would someone please explain to me how to do it or if there is someway to do something similar to this.
If not, I think this would be useful feature, right?

I believe there is a way to "subscribe" to a certain thread to follow it...
In the bottom left hand corner of the page, there is a list to "print, send, and subscribe"
As far as the tag feature, it's my understanding that we do not have that ...

I agree with FP on this, prefer not to have it, just subscribe to a thread if you want to see any replies and such, am glad i don't have a list of notifications waiting for me when i log in like they use on some other forums and on that thing called face buck.

Eventually i read most posts. Or, people direct me to them. We have so many newer people now, that it would be a living hell for the mods and admins to awaken to a boatload of questions. Many made whilst a member was high and seeking way too much info.
It is not what u r used to. But, most of us look for newer posts when we come on.
I remember forums where i had to respond to a mob of PMs from fighting groups at another forum. One then feels forced to answer them.
I prefer to now pick and choose to whom I shall respond. This will sound pretentious, but right now, my time is precious to me. I don't want to awaken to silly or demanding PMs. I prefer to be in charge of how I spend my time.
It may sound cool to u now. But, if u were on staff, it would be a nightmare. As is, we do get called out in just about every thread. I believe we all are kept busy enough.
Good idea though. I would vote no. I have a deep committment to helping certain people. I don't want nonsense that the Lord did not intend for me to handle just cuz someone new thought it would be a swell idea to speak to charon about something soooo important. It is usually BS. Just sayin.

If u use the search engine for ur screen name, entries will show wherein u spoke or others spoke to u. it is not perfect but it suffices for our purposes now.

Thanks guys! Honestly thinking about it I do agree with FP, I have noticed during some of my browsing there seems to be quite a bit of new members who join but never really get to a point of contributing content and it would be quite annoying for those members to be able to tag mods and senior members.
Charon, I can only imagine the headache it would cause you and the other moderators.
I think I might be giving away my age here but I think my generation has just become so accustom to being able to just @ some to get there attention or point them towards something.
I think the answer to this question has been answered, thank you for all your help!
Is there a way for me to close this thread so it doesn't go on for forever with no real point?
