what am i doing wrong?
Ty!!
Hi FootballKing. I don't think you're doing anything
wrong per se - it just that you haven't picked up the tricks that
are available to us poor and terribly deprived Under 50's.
Here's a few tips:
Goto the top left of screen, you'll see the blue
IOLPlist.Org logo, under that "
Welcome back, xxx, You last visited: xxx " and under
that you'll see
User CP.
Click on User CP and you'll get to see your
:-
Posts: XX ( xx per day | xx percent of total posts)
Reputation: xx [Details are not available until after 50]
Email: your email address
Registration Date: 12-24-20XX, 01:26 PM
Primary User Group: Registered
Members Referred: 0
To view information on your own posts, browse the Menu down the left hand side of the page and click on 'Subscribed Threads'.
There you will see a list of every thread you've contributed to.
Unfortunately clicking on the individual threads wont escort you to your own personal first or last post - but that's not really a huge issue - unless it's buried somewhere inside something like MM's thread. (233 pages would take a long while to make your way through - but my, what you'd learn along the way!)
A hint to getting around having to read gigantic threads: Use the 'Search Thread' box function you'll find at the bottom of every page of every thread.
Search a specific query or topic. Enter your own username into the Search Thread box and you're likely to be very pleasantly surprised.
I'm sure there are more tricks that I haven't discovered, but as we're both so close to 50, we won't have to be concerned about that for much longer.
In regards to not being able to "message the admin" - I have pondered this very question myself.
However, it has become abundantly clear to me that
virtually every post gets read and assessed by the Admins and Mods.
It appears that they never sleep, because
nothing gets passed their eagle eyes.
So, on top of attending to every post, how many questions do you imagine they receive from Newbies like us?
About 10,000 every 10 minutes, I reckon.
Newbies like us need to be especially mindful about the stuff we casually drop into our posts.
I can't tell you how many times my butt has been saved by going back and rechecking the Rules before clicking on the Post Reply button.
I accept this as
my responsibility - and I don't expect the Admins to have to waste time referring me back to the Rules.
It's so easy to proactively protect yourself and protect the site by revisiting
The Rules every now and then.
If the answer to your question is really not there - then the sad fact is that you'll have to sit on it until you reach the Golden 50.

There's also the other side to this coin. It's not about us trying to contact them - it's about ensuring that we never give them a reason to contact us!
I've seen what happens when members commit serious transgressions. It often ends up looking like this: "
banned "

Yikes! No thanks! Not for me!
Hope this helps.
