She was always playing within the rules and proper. The loss of her husband was too much I fear.

I think her funeral will be completely reminiscent of how she would’ve wanted it - very elegant affair. She is now reunited with her love Philip. I do agree that once sh lost him last year she was never the same as are a lot people when they lose someone close to them.

You are correct about "London Bridge has fallen" being the code. There was a protocol that if she died late at night then the news would be held until the next morning as she didn't wish to upset people just before bed (thoughtful). She reached a very good age, so everything regarding the instant handover to Kings Charles III and what will be the first state funeral since Winston Churchill will flow like clockwork. I believe the date for the state funeral will be decided tomorrow by the Privy Council - they will allow an appropriate period of mourning, so it's likely to be at least a week. I imagine the guest list will be quite something.

Whilst not a royalist, I still respected her as an individual who held herself to the highest standards. I'm glad she made it to her 70th Jubilee and was still with us for the Commonwealth Games a few weeks ago. RIP.

It's weird experiencing 10 days of mourning and an official holiday for the state funeral, yet simultaneously celebrating King Charles III. His actual corrination will happen at some later date, but it's really just for show. He is king, it happens automatically.

Suspect some countries who still have the UK monarch as their head of state may take ths opportunity to start selecting/electing their own head of state. They are relics of an old empire that has transformed into a commonwealth, that covers about 1/3rd of the world's population.

It's a strange thing. Oh and the money in my pocket and the coins will all change to have the new King's head.

I have only a little English blood in me, but it's uncanny how closely King Charles resembles a late member of my family. They are nothing a like each other except in appearance.
You would think they were brothers, almost twins if you saw photos. They say we all have a double out there.

They released pictures of royal couple sitting on thrones today to US.

And i saw some email news that was about the children of the Queen all walked behind her coffin. And I remember Harry just published somewhere that he thought it was awful that he had to walk behind his mother's coffin when no one expected the death.

They really did adhere to some strong beliefs. Keeping a stiff upper lip and always carrying on.

May the family find peace and make sure he is a good king for his people, lord God.
