I had a total of 117 kids visit for candy tonight!!! All well behaved and acompanied by parents/older siblings. Where I live we get Diwali on 12th Nov as well, so that's a load of fireworks and South Asian sweets. My Indian neighbours always invite me over, and their curry is wonderful. It's good when events bring different people together.

we gave out eight bags of candy. could be nine or ten.

not as many as last year.

many were extremely cautious cuz gangs come from fifteen minutes away. it is the harlem of my area. and getting worse. my parents both lived in harlem and got tossed out based on their race. there are fires all the time. shootings in the street. in schools.

they seem to target elders the most. people with no money and who are no harm to the rioters.
they have a neighborhood news paper and they are all sharing the faces showing up on their front door cameras. sharing pics of animals whom have gone missing or were found dead.

this was a very small group of young people with parents. costumes were lit up. no teen agers came by to wreak havoc later.
its a dangerous area so one must be alert.

i have not heard of trouble so strong in these areas before the pandemic violence began.

Just keep your eyes open. Carry Mace. at least. And most cities are letting in unknown border crossers. Our enemies==many.

The gvt in NY is demanding if one has an extra bedroom or runs a place, now allow migrants in them.

I am not in an area usually deemed violent. people are nutz. be careful and aware all the time.
