I loved watching him working with the fries! Like him, I have always liked McDonald's. There are certain items I won't order, but that's because of my own personal preferences.

In the 80s, they had THE BEST Diet Coke EVER! Then Aspartame came out, and Coke began using that. So, I drink Shasta Diet Coke. It's made with Sucralosec, which is Splenda. I have noticed that sodas don't have carbonation that lasts, like they used to. Diet Coke, Shasta Diet Cola, etc., used to still be carbonated if I set it on my night stand and woke up on a non workday, sleeping late, and took a swig. It was just as carbonated as when I opened it.

Now they all go flat after a few HOURS.

I know the old "Those fake sugars aren't good for you"; I have been hearing that my whole life.

I've never smoked a cigarette, used MJ, I don't like alcoholic drinks, I've never used things others might call "Street Drugs", so I don't care!

And I am NOT putting people down who drink, or use MJ, or smoke, or use "hard dugs." It's a personal choice, and there ARE people in AGONY that NEED to use certain meds. I don't think that's wrong at all. I think God gave us Opium and MJ for unbearable pain. Eons ago, without access to these medications, they either blew their heads off, or jumped to their deaths. And I certainly don't blame them!

I don't consider that as abusing drugs. Big Pharma is the EVIL one.

My grandfather was such a sweet, kind man. He died of bone cancer. Thank God for Morphine. His two sons and their wives took care of him at home because He didn't want to die in a hospital.

I remember my mom, and my grandmother was trying to help with the Morphine syringe. She said: "Ohhhhhh! Ohhhhh dearrrr! Oh! What if I did it wrong! What if this is too muchhhhhhhh?!?"

My mom said: "Well good grief, grandma! At this point, WHO CARES if it's too much?!? He needs this for pain, and he's dying anyway! The worst thing that could happen is he'll die FASTER, and in my opinion that's not a bad thing at all!" 

HAAAAAAA! My sis and I still laugh about my mom saying that! Oh, how I miss my mother! 

As sick as he was, he had each family visitor go in so he could pray for them, and have them re-dedicate their lives to Christ. 

When my sis and I visited, we took his hands and prayed for him. He didn't ask us to re-dedicate our lives to Christ, because he KNEW we were following Jesus. He knew by our prayers and The Holy Spirit. HE JUST KNEW.

He was the closest example of Jesus I've ever met in my life. I can't wait to be with my grandparents, my mother and father, and great grandparents, and other family members.

I obviously want to run to Jesus! I don't want to say: "Sorry, I'll get back with you in a few minutes. But right now, 'outta my way "J"! I see my earth family!"

People are much too attached to this world.

My sis and BIL visited over the weekend...

YUP!!!!!

And, it's a two lane drive-thru and IT WAS PACKED! MORE THAN USUAL! 

McDonald's needs to sue over that news site statement about Quarter Pounders!

Oh, they retracted it, but McDonald's still needs to SUE!

It's not the meat, though last month we did have deli meat recalls.

And I expect more, and more, and more...done nefariously.

BUT THIS WAS THE ONIONS! 

ANDDDDDDDD THE SAME COMPANY SUPPLIES ONIONS TO FAR MORE EATERIES THAN JUST 
MC DONALD'S!

I have so many people, and I'm talking about ones who call themselves "Christians" say "Oh! You shouldn't talk like that!"

"Oh Dear! Life is meant to enjoy!"

"I have a niece that talks non stop about how we're in the end times...she's not a HAPPY CHRISTIAN."

She meant her own niece, not me.

I wanted to say

First of all, Happy and Christian are two words that do not go together!

I also wanted to say "You aren't excited to meet your creator? The one who came down to earth in human form and healed soooo many, and called out in public all the hypocritical "believers"  the Scribes? Rabbis?"

"You aren't excited to meet this creator who died a brutal, gruesome death, for YOU?" Oh, he was wounded, yes indeed. Most people didn't survive scourgings. He was taunted and beaten up by the guards so badly that The Bible says HE WAS UNRECOGNIZABLE.

Every nerve from those spikes being driven through his hands and wrists and the top of both feet would have been complete agony. Then, His back which was shredded with open wounds, gets pressed up against dried out, sharp wood?

They didn't sand these crosses and make them smooth?!? They were used, again and again, left in the hot sun, and they probably only replaced them when they fell apart! Imagine dried out scratch rotting wood.

The crown of thorns was not gently placed on His head. Heck no. They shoved that thing onto His head causing it to pierce the skin on his scalp, forehead, ears...

Then He's not wearing a loin cloth. That's what artists used when painting Him on the cross. That was because they couldn't paint him completely nakedness, it wasn't "proper" or respectful.

He was up there being laughed at and mocked, while He was completely NUDE.

Then soldiers gamble for his tunic at his feet! Because it was seamless so worth more. I can bet it was a gift from a person who loved Him.

He sees them gambling and in His agony He says: "Father, forgive them. They know not what they do."

I don't believe for a second I could ever have said that or felt it. I'd be saying "Lord, smite these $%#@!$! dead!"

But the worst was He took every sin EVER COMMITTED, BEING COMMITTED, AND GOING TO BE COMMITTED, UPON HIMSELF. I BELIEVE HE FELT THOSE SINS.

So, yes...Jesus has been through everything anyone has ever gone through.

If the ways of this world do not grieve you, bother you, depress you, however...if you don't think this broken world with so many suffering people, children, animals...human trafficking, brutal treatment, hunger, thirst, cold, blazing heat, people in prisons being tortured...babies and children being rapes and treated horrifically, and the same goes for any age, but especially the weak; the children, the sick, the elderly...if it doesn't bother you? You've got a problem.

Just wait...because one day it might be you who finds out how much true suffering there is, and no, just because something horrible happens, you DO NOT just die.

You have to live with it. Ask any parent who has lost a child either to an abduction or they're a runaway...ask them how they get through each day.

Just because you might not have lived in war torn countries or been a refugee as a child or adult seeing your own loved ones starved, beaten, brutalized...doesn't mean it isn't happening right now.

IT IS!

We grew up in a rare time. But it's changing. And we're not ready because we've never dealt with that kind of living.

If a person claims to be a follower of Christ, if they aren't anxious for His return, or looking forward to being with Him, but instead would rather stay here?

You are in for it.

As Jack Hibbs said: If you don't know your Bible...YOU are on shaky ground.

Don't you try to make me feel wrong for awaiting the day I am finally with my creator, my redeemer, THE ONE.

You can try, but all it shows me is that YOU are on shaky ground. It shows me you love the things and ways of the world. And you can have it.

Like the rich man gloating over his livestock, barns, and saying "I shall build more barns, have more stock, more fields..."

God says to him: "You fool. Tonight your soul shall be required of thee. Then to whom will your things belong?"

Charon, I totally understand because I get comments too!

They likely don't KNOW Christ. Or, they have never had anything bad happen to them and they don't know what is going on in this world AND THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HISTORY.

OR? IT SCARES THEM. WHEN WE TALK ABOUT IT AND WANTING, LONGING TO BE WITH CHRIST AND FAMILY WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US?

They very well could be terrified. Enough to need to change their pants!

And they SHOULD BE TERRIFIED!

It says "WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING."

C.S. Lewis said that's how it was for him. He said picture walking on a wooded path. You step on a stick...but it moves and instantly your body has that jump away feeling because it was not a stick, it was something ALIVE. Lizard, snake, whatever.

He said when he read The Bible to refute it, and came to believe in a living God, he felt like a rabbit that's trapped, darting its head back and forth, looking for an escape!

The 70s  Christian Band "Sweet Comfort" had a song with this line:

"And that which I feared most...is that which is most precious to me now."

I've had people say "NO WONDER YOU GET DEPRESSED! YOU THINK ABOUT THIS KIND OF STUFF!"

Well, this "STUFF" isn't from a slasher movie or a torture porn film, or a sad movie.

IT'S FROM THE BIBLE. YOU KNOW, THE SAME BOOK YOU HAVE ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND?

And it's what Jesus spoke about, and it offered people HOPE, and helped the weary and depressed!

I'll quote Auntie Em from The Wizard of Oz:

"Elmira Gulch! I've been waiting 15 years to tell you what I think of you! And now? Well...being a good, Christian woman, I can’t say it!"

That's probably off cuz I did it from memory.

Charon, I just thought of what I'm going to start saying back!

"Why does it bother YOU? Does the thought of Christ's return, or of dying and you kneeling before Him SCARE YOU?"

Don't turn it around, onto ME! YOU need to put it onto YOURSELF!
