I'm interested in switching from a small dose of Clonazepam to Alprazolam. I know Alp is typically considered king in the world of benzos. Does anybody have experience switching from clonazepam to Alp? Was it good, bad, same?

I've tried diazepam which did work well but other than using iop's I have very little access to them. I also tried midazolam which I think may have just been too strong for me. I was a zombie. I take a small amount of clon with a small amount of lorazapam and it seems to provide the relief I need. However I do find the effects starting to wane. I fear going up in dose because I do not want to be a zombie. I need to remember "things". Lol. I know a lot of people on here really like alp so I'm very curious about people that have used both, so your input was great.
At one point I was unable to source alp, so I took clonis instead. Personally I do not like them.
I was taking 2-5 mgs a day (to match my alp dosage)
Those clonitril are tasty![]()
I would often my self lost and my short term memory was almost zero. I would loose my keys or my wallet and forget where I put things. I lowered my dose and found I was functional but it didnt help my anxiety as much as alp. Just kind of chilled me out all day.
Alos I found great relief with Diazepam. It has a long half life like Clon but I found it not to have the negative side effect i experienced with Clon
I guess this is kind of the opposite of your plan. but I thought id share regardless.
Hope you find the relief your looking for alp helps me a lot.

Wow that is a very high dose. Did you find it easy to function on this dose? My benzos are mainly for the work I'm in as it is a very high stress, high anxiety job. Sometimes I wonder if it's the job or the company. Kinda off topic lol. But yeah, I'm very curious how well you did on this Rx.
