Today's update: one of my best friend's brother, who I went to grade school with, lives in St. Thomas, part of the US Virgin Islands. He and his new wife, survived, ok. Their apartment and the island are trashed and they are very traumatized. They has 225 mph winds. They will be okay, it will take some time.

Tomorrow, I should get the Puerto Rico report.

Me and my pup will be here with our shutters closed, flashlights, battery-operated fans, bottled water, batteries and several power banks to charge phone and tablet. We will have tree damage and flooding, it just becomes a matter of location and volume. Hopefully, no broken windows, roof damage or drowned vehicles.

My kid brother lives several miles west of me. He has the fortune of living in the fire and police grid for his electricity. His always gets restored, long before mine. I can usually hit him up for a hot shower and meal, when travel is possible again.

Hopefully, all will be manageable. And most importantly, everyone will be safe. Thank you for all your kind wishes. Until next time, Rumor.
Pray for all
Thank you for the up-date Rumor !

Stay safe.

11 AM update map.

Irma update: While over a million people in Puerto Rico have lost electricity, all the folks I know who have friends and family there are safe, thankfully. With its financial issues, this is the last thing Puerto Rico needed. The people are amazingly resilient.

With the evacuations of the Florida Keys, Miami Beach and the all coastal areas, there is a gas shortage and quirky traffic jams, as people sit in gas lines reminiscent of the early 1970's.

South Florida weather with start to deteriorate Friday night, after the last airline flights out. We are waiting and watching to see when the storm will turn north to determine where the eye of the storm will land. The eye is 70 miles wide. The storm itself is 400 miles wide. The state of Florida is only 175 miles wide. I think we have a problem. Follow the European hurricane model for the most accurate information, for anyone in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, or have friends and family in these areas.

Older brother, in New York, keeps telling me to leave, me thinks it's a bit too late.

Everyone, be well, Rumor
Well any of us whom believe in prayer or in sending good energy to others, let us send our thoughts of protection for rumor and all her family and neighbors. Send in help to the people, but really let the storm break its pattern and weaken I pray.

Let us know, rumor. You will be okay. But it must be so frightening. God protect all Your children that this storm may affect.
Prayers for you and your family rumor. God will watch over you.
OR
Well, of all things....the storm is currently tracking further west over Cuba and may switch its Florida target from the east side of the state to the west side. A bit further West and it could wind up in the Gulf of Mexico. Forget about one day at a time, we are on each 6 hour hurricane update at a time.

Due to the largess of the storm, the entire state will still currently be effected, but location and intensity are still the key.

I thought we had more Florida members from what I remember from last summer?

Thank you for your support. It is deeply appreciated. Until the next update, Rumor.
Prayers out to everyone in this storms path.
