Got a stubborn brother who lives in Naples. We tried to get him to leave the state but as I said stubborn.
He did get his house all sealed up and then evacuated north just to Sarasota (He has NEVER left his house for any hurricane before). Sarasota's not looking much better but at least he is now in a large building on second floor to ride this out.
Any prayers thrown out are greatly appreciated...
i rarely have TV. too large an expense for me. but i have it here. and i am watching and praying. this is unreal.
my houseshare lived right near naples when he lived there for ten yrs.
I ask you Father God to hold Fury's beloved family in the palm of Your hand. Keep him safe from the storm surges. Send angels to rescue him and his family if necessary.
But i shall be praying. Many of us here do pray.

Thank You Much. He is no longer responding via cellular or land lines. Not surprising though. Out of our hand now.
Good Luck Brother
Fury
Furyan66 I'm sure the power is just down. The power is out almost everywhere in Florida. He has many praying for him now and I'm sure he will be in touch as soon as the storm passes.

OR
Thankfully, it is over. Naples/Fort Myers/Tampa area did not do well. Just got electricity on the southeast side. The keys and Key West, very bad. 25% of Key West homes destroyed.
Most folks safe, but tons of trees down, sand in the streets, power lines down, poles down, traffic lights not working and no one knows how to drive. Gas in limited supply. Airport opening and ship ports opening.
I hope no one has to go through this ever again. If I can help anyone, let me know. Rumor
Thank you for the update Rumor
We are glad you are ok
It sounds like a lot of big time damages but not so many injuries.
That part is good.
Thank you, Mad Max. Much appreciated. Power is slowly being restored. Grocery stores and gas stations very slowly being restocked. A little patience goes a long way. Beaches closed. Traffic lights still out. Every intersection must be treated as a 4 way stop. Very complicated for some people. Hopefully schools will reopen on Monday. Power companies from so many states are here, working 24/7, it brings tears to your eyes.
All the best, Rumor
i watched it and prayed all day. and the newscasters had to say: well u wont see anyone needing to be rescued from roof tops cuz the surging waters will kill all whom did not evacuate.
omg. what a horrible thing for MSNBC to have broadcoast.
Thank God u r ok my friend. I know of the damage. People do reach out to help. But, now they seem to have forgotten the people still struggling in Texas.
It is glorious to hear u offer to help another if caught in this situation, rumor. Really kind and amazing when u have so much on your mind.
So glad you checked in.
Good seeing you post another update Rumor.
Yes I figure it does get very emotional all the destruction and then people from fr helping and working such long hours.
I saw on the evening news yesterday I think the sand in all the roads .
Stay safe friend.
