I thought it was too hard and didn't give high quality sleep . Did you felt good next morning ?

In the morning you are awake and do not feel any drowsiness. Do not abuse large doses: 25 - 50 mg is quite enough. Seroquel helps to fall asleep 30 to 40 minutes after ingestion, but it cannot be said that it provides a deep restless sleep all the night. And most importantly: no addiction, no withdrawal syndrome.
I know one person who has been on seroquel big miss for them unfortunately did not enjoy the experience..
based on info given here about said perspectives I'd say seroquel is equivalent or comparable in effect to clonidine .
"Clonidine" is a very strong sedative and also blood pressure med as well as panic attacks being they at times lead to high blood pressure
Just my two cents

My experience (for years) is quite acceptable. Yes, of course, you must not forget that seroquel is antipsychotic, not sleeping pills, and  has other uses, but in small doses may be applied. We all are different: what suits one does not suit other.

I know it's been mentioned previously in the thread, but the best over-the-counter sleep medication, in my opinion, is plain old Benadryl, aka diphenhydramine.

It needs to be the simple single-active-ingredient version (no caffeine or anything like that). I believe I've seen an extended-release formulation for "PM-style" meds (like Tylenol PM, I think), and that should work long enough to get restful sleep.

It depends on whether or not your original problem is trying to get to sleep, or maintaining sleep. The extended release version should solve both. Just don't take extra doses, as that can lead to weird dreams (from experience).

1st Gen antihistamines are usually a good choice, like diphenhydramine, promethazine...

diphen i find quick acting but shorter duration like i'll wake up 4hrs later, prometh i find takes longer to kick in but you will sleep a whole 8 hours and after that its affects can be felt up to 12hrs it also seems to have a slight anxiolytic effect.

Also a Tricyclic antidepressant called amitriptyline is very sedating, but comes with a menu of side effects.
Success!
