N0rflex (0rphen@drine Citrate) is a very cheap option for those using an iop. It actually works very well, but is not a very sedating med like s0ma. One of the vendors in the open forum carries them. It's worth a shot given the cost.

Muscle Relaxer Opinions

Since Valium is all is take currently I'd have to agree it the best mr for me. I take it for skeletal muscle pain as well as general anxiety, and it helps me sleep a little.
I mentioned the orphenadrine since it is very cheap, and thought maybe someone not needing a benzos or other addictive mr might find it useful. It did help me quite a bit, but in looking back I was also taking my Valium with it... That bit about being the Benadryls orphan brother had me rolling tho hahahahaaa
I take fl3xaril from my Doctor but it looks like I will not have insurance next year. Does anyone have a good source for Zan@flex? Fl3xaril is pretty hard to find online & usually expensive when I can find it. My last source for Zan@flex has been shutdown. Thanks for any tips.

I agree with Icewizard. I have never had luck with any muscle relaxers. Personally I think they are a scam, I have had much better luck with changes in heat and/or exercises and pain meds. The relaxers always made me feel gross.

I feel I benefit greatly from having some relaxers around. People are different. Pain & treatment vary from person to person. For users that are genuinely interested in muscle relaxers this is my 2 cents. I might take a s0ma &/or a c0deine to manage lower back pain during the day. S0ma used to make me tired but not much anymore. I also switch between Fl3xeril & Zan@flex only before bed as they make me tired. Fl3xeril I sometimes split in half especially if I am taking it after midnight. My doctor is not at all prescription happy but doesn't seem to mind giving me 30 flex a month. I believe fl3xeril is marketed for people that have trouble sleeping due to their pain. A pharmacy on IOP carries Zan@flex for a perfect price. PM me if you want to know the name. I would rather not mention it in a non-private thread. (I dont want their one good medicine blasted all over google)

Now I can do the Z's and it's the oppisite effect... I know this is an old post, but I was reading through posts and came across this. I also have this paradoxical reaction to "V's"!!. I have a similar reaction to @tiv@n unfortunately. Generally as a rule I try to stick to the thieno variety of this class, as they seem to not have this effect. But i can have some of the milder regular ones without the adverse effect. Which is part of the reason I have a taste for some of the weaker and less popular ones. They have the desired effect of helping with my insomia where V's and A's and a couple of others have the paradoxical effect and cause agitation. Code: "Never regret thy fall,

Ice, you're not weird!? some of the websites on this website carry Soma. I like the Watson's. I used to go down to the border, and buy a 1000 W's at a time. 18 years ago though. They are better than pain meds IMO. Take too much though, you act like the dumbest drunk-on the planet! Yikes!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that experiences this odd paradoxical effect with the V's, thought I was crazy, but for me it only seems to be with specific brands, one will make me feel crazy anxious, another will have it's normal expected effect. Not sure what the deal is.. stick to what you know works I guess is the moral of the story. |
