Diazepam or Lorazepam?
#21
I need a new supplier after the fall of TT who had served me well for years, getting more and more difficult to find a decent Diaz supply in the UK.

I couldn't agree more!  Fall of TT has devastated me.  All other us subpar compared.  I wish a private source could be made available.  I can't believe that entire region is gone...  but i rely on ioplist for info.

Lorazepam nor diaZepam have the strength to totally kill anxiety for me but lorazepam causes me so much harsher withdrawals and ups and downs than diaZepam so of course I like diaZepam. To totally kill anxiety, it’s alpraz or klonopin. But I try to stay away from the stronger benzos.

Agree with you Wanna........................stay away from those stronger ones.................too much to deal with when the time comes to end it......................Folken

It sure has devastated a lot of us. I'd be lost without this forum to be honest.

Question: has anyone used val for sleep? If so, what dosage do you recommend?

I tried loraz and felt nothing. I am also feeling nothing with val. Maybe it’s dosage. I’m dealing with a lot of anxiety and insomnia since quitting alcohol this past year. I’m nervous to get dependent, so I’m only using when I’m feeling especially anxious and other methods (meetings, meditation, yoga) are failing. But like I said, I haven’t noticed a change in either drug. It’s like I’ve taken nothing. Maybe I just self medicated with alcohol for too long and nothing will ever quite replace what it did for me.

If do not have any muscle pain or soreness/tightness, forget about B"s other than for relief of the accompanying anxiety. Just my opinion-FF

I can agree--diazepam does nothing for pain (for me) except a little knock-on effect.  It doesn't even do what it's supposed to when my back muscles have seized up.  It barely begins to do what it should when I take it before flying.  All it really does is...whatever the opposite of 2-3 cups of coffee is, and in a normal setting.  When I need it to do what it's supposed to do, it fails pretty hard.

For me, Lora is a good all around choice.  I didn't know valerie had a muscle relaxant effect, but will keep that in mind.

Val is good for sleep.  Dosage depends on tolerance.  I take a 5m or a 10m for sleep, but take it early.  It definitely gives you a very groggy feeling in the morning.  Groggy, but not out if it or doing crazy things like some of these sleeping things do (i.e. ambi, etc.)...
