Ye ole Cafe
Well what great posts this morning.

I did get logged on with my iPad so I cannot do my usual colorized and pics version .......boo boo hiss hiss

Anyway Good Morning all you Lovely People.

Ice you said it brother this is such a good place to visit. Smiles.

I am glad to see you post Harley. I see now that you are writing an electrical panel.
Make those writes nice and neat, no no J/K but if I am right you know what I mean. I have seen a ball of spaghetti or a nice neat road map when I've opened those panel covers.
Do you know what I mean? Harley, grins.
I'm glad you have been busy because I think you said it has been good for you.

Popster thank you for understanding what I meant. The reason I posted it on the open forum is , well my bonehead thinks, that I posted it on the open forum and so I thought I should redress it here.

Thx again for easing my mind, Lord knows it needs some easing. Ha

Oh thank you for sharing those fine shots. You are lucky to live is such a great area for fresh photos .

Roses, I am real, glad to hear that everything is going fine with your sons new baby , it is always great to hear stories of good news .......because we share both here

Like Rose5555 did, sorry you had to go thru all that but I am glad you have gotten such good support in responses here.

Willie33 this mornings post was perfect because I am not bringing any coffee and it was simply a splendid picture for this morning , you have that eye too......in a very good way to spot those stand out pics.

Fire did you get that big snow yet?

Have a good day....you guys,

It is already 49 at 9:30 AM and going up to 67 degrees today .....I think I will wash some of the road salt off my vehicle before the next one hits.

Congrats to Roses.......I can still remember the first time I held Zsa Zsa (my second grandchild)........her smell and vulnerability overwhelmed me.......the love I felt was so fresh.

I think men have it in their DNA to protect the female species.....it's so natural.

Happy Day to all

How absolutely fabulous to have a grandchild called Zsa Zsa!  I am now wondering if you have any other relatives with such fantastic names.  And I know exactly what you mean about the smell of a newborn baby - it is divine and almost impossible to describe. Not having reached grandparent age quite yet (I had my kids late, at 40 and 43 respectively, so while I am in my late 50s I still have teenagers at home) I didn't know one experienced the same kind of surge of love as you do when the baby is your own. I remember picking up my firstborn boy and holding him in my arms and saying to myself, "this is it, this is forever, I will never stop loving you, I am yours".  And I was so right!
Thanks for your post, it made me smile and remember.

Good morning Everyone.

Harley do you ski for pleasurable de-stressing?

I See skipper1 and Harley mention sleeping better, I will too. I have been getting a little more myself. Last week I averaged 6.5 with a couple 7.5's in there. Should be between 7-8 hours. A couple weeks back I was only getting 5 1/2 average and I was feeling too tired.

You might say do you keep a sleep log, well kind of.

I got something called a FitBit and it does keep one along with other health monitoring points.
Wear it like a watch around the wrist.

Lets see it tells you how many steps a day you have taken, supposed to be, guess how many? 10K a day Harder to get than you might think.

Measures heart rate, miles you have walked, calories burned, flights of stairs you have climbed, active minutes, sleep, you can add food you eat and it can use it, also water drank because there is a recommended amount of 64 oz a day.
So there is quite a bit of info there.

It has an app on the phone it syncs with and it stores all this info.

So far I have really liked it.
Suppose I want to look back at my activity level yesterday levels while outside hosing and washing off the vehicle. And constant moving about doing things outside since it got to 69 and mild breeze. I was in the cardio zone for 3 hours.

About your sleep, it will tell you how well you slept. Being restless or woke up. Kind of nice to know the quality of sleep you get.

Enough of that but if anyone thinks that sort of thing would be useful I say go for it. I like it.

So that is my seminar/review on the device called Fitbit Charge HR. It can print out monthly totals etc as well.

This week weather is going to be warmer with some needed rain to wash away the road salt then towards the end of week turn winter again. They say. Ha.

Hope it didn't bore you too much reading this Fitbit stuff.

I hope everyone has a stress free and pain free day as possible.

Good morning to all from the land where time runs earlier than yours.

Firstly let me say a thanks to all the kind people who sent me their empathy and kind thoughts for my three losses last week. I have decided this is going to be a week in which I am not going to lose any member of my family! My son goes up and down, with regards to the cat - some days he is distracted by other things, quite normally, but then the sadness and the loss sneak up on him  again. We are both going to see the mother of our three cats at the weekend. We adopted her and her three kittens all at once from a shelter which had rescued her from the doorstep where she had given birth. Four of her babies died but the other three survived and we took all four, mum and kittens, to give them the best chance in life. Sadly, though, they were less keen on living together than we had expected. The mother, Pravda (though who knows what her original name was)  ran away from our home a few years ago (didn't like having to live with her three children - wanted a home all on her own) so a kind woman adopted her and regularly sends me photos. My son and I are going to see her partly because she is the one who most resembled the cat we lost. I thought it would help my son, as it also will when he finally gets around to sending me a good photo he took of Roan, so I can have it framed and enlarged for his room.  Having done some years as a bereavement counsellor, I know we need to keep it all in the open, all talked about, nothing forbidden to be expressed.

Roses, thanks for your kind thoughts. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. What a sad day for that to happen to, on a day when everyone expects to be super happy. Lots of love coming your way. I am so happy to hear your stories about your grandchild.

Harley, thanks for your kind words, we haven't spoken so much as yet, but I'd definitely like to change that!

Charon, you are having such a rough time of late and you are so very often in my thoughts now.  I am sure you are due a turn for the better. It surely must happen and soon.

A big hello to the kind gent who is Ice Wizard, and to Willie, Linville, and Fireplaces.  I am really happy to be getting to know you all while sipping my virtual hot chocolate here in Cafe Linville. Have a good day y'all.

Good morning, everyone. Have a great day!

Today is a Check up day with regular doctor for scripts, etc.
It wouldn't be so bad, but I have to drive 55 miles one way to office and back. Major pain!

Gripe, gripe, gripe. Okay, I'm through. Smile

Hi Linville, thanks for the review! I saw this advertised on UK and remembered I had seen something about it in Cafe Linville previously, but couldn't remember who had been using it. It sounds like a really useful tool from what you say here, telling you some vital facts about your lifestyle.
I hope everyone has a stress free and pain free day as possible.

Thanks for the review. I saw this product being advertised on UK TV the other day and remembered someone had mentioned it right here in Cafe Linville, but couldn't for the life of me remember who.  It sounds a good product, giving you some vital information about important natural processes that otherwise are so hard to quantify.
Glad to hear your sleep is improving. Lack of sleep can be so draining, physically and emotionally; since I've been on Mirtazapine, I sleep like the proverbial baby (actually, why do we use that as a metaphor when babies wake us up repeatedly at night?!) but I do remember vividly many years of poor sleep and for all those here who suffer from it, I can only imagine the difficulties it causes. I do think that getting lots of exercise does help with sleep and you sound very active.  In the cardio zone for three hours? I'm exhausted just reading that.
Nice post!

Ice, do edit it down if you can.

Thanks!

Fireplaces, in my opinion, it was a lovely post with a personal word for nearly everyone, and as such, I am happy we had it in quadruplicate!  Usually it's me doing things like that, so glad it was someone else this time  Smile
