Ambien tolerance builds too fast for me. I love how it helps my quality of life when i can use it though. Dormicum is unreal. it will put you to bed no mattter your tolderance to other benzos. I got my stuff from a polish person. they were pharm grade roche polish dormicum and it worked so well. Halcion has nothing on it. it's weak compared to dormicum. Flunitrazepam is the only thing that gives dormicum a run for the money but in poland rohyp are so controlled so even the dormicum source cant come through.

I second the vote for trazadone as the occasional sleep aide. I have used it many times when going through bouts of insomnia. My doctor suggested it when I specifically asked for something non addictive since I already take valium for muscle spasms. It knocks me right out and doesn't make me feel groggy in the morning.
Bry686 - I'm glad you stopped taking benzo a for sleep! It's way too easy to develop a tolerance. And it's not easy to taper off. Take it from me

Is anyone here from Uk and getting trazadone from their doc?
Mine told me last year that trazadone is no longer available on the N hs,someome told me they get 100mg prescribed,i was on 50mg,would rather be on trazadone than mirtazapine, the latter has made me put on weight and makes me sluggish for first 3-4 hours of the day.
Going to ask my doc when i next see her, anyone from uk getting this plz chime in so i know its still available on prescription,i don't wanna be buying the stuff.
Wish we got ambien here,we get the horrid zopiclone that leaves a metallic taste in the mouth, don't want that.

I had a few ambien tablets a while ago,got a good nights sleep. No metallic taste.
When i have had zopiclone here it always leaves that metallic taste in my mouth,i think we must get a different brand of zops than you do over the pond,so do US zops like Stilnox not leave a metallic taste in the mouth?
Saying that a friend who has same doc told me that zopiclon is yet another med the surgery refuses to prescribe.
It won't be long before some of us are chewing tree bark to help whatever it is we suffer from, then they will cut all the trees down to make us suffer more.

I have a scrip for zolpidem in the states but to fill in name brand is outrageously priced so I buy from the EU. Still zolpidem but cost is a 10th

I've been using Benzo's to help me sleep for years. It's definitely a heavy sleep, but I feel pretty rested when I wake up. I'm always looking to find something a little different, but get a little anxious at trying something different. Kind of like, if it ain't broke. But it's good to find an alternative if my primary source isn't available.

I think that the short or medium half-life benzos are best for sleep. The longer-lasting ones will leave you feeling groggy when you wake up.
