Man, I think this is the bestest time of the day! No traffic, everything is quiet .. Ugh O ... My boss just woke up .. So much for the quiet...lol

IceWizard I hope you have a great day . Do you hit the hay early in a routine so that you naturally wake up as early? I know what you mean about the early morning being so quiet and well just relaxing and peaceful. I like that a lot too.

I think I am going to try and get to sleep earlier…as a habit not as something that happens once in a blue moon.
Was watching a health show on the TV and they were saying how important it is to get 7-8 hours sleep for the health of the body …soooo

Again thank you everyone that has mentioned a kind word or two to me about my friend passing away. Tomorrow I am going to pay last respects.

Linville ... I used to hit the hay fairly early, but now it doesn't matter if I go to bed at 6pm or 11pm at 3 my damn eyes pop open for some unknown reason ....

It's not so bad I guess ... And it's in the low 50's here as well ... That's just a reminder for what's to come ... I am not a winter person!! Being from around Houston, winter is a kind of myth .. We most always wore shorts and T-shirts for Christmas.... Now sometimes it was cold .. Like in Feb ... But there's soooo much humidity it really felt cold!! It stayed about 90-100 percent all the time ...

But you get used to where you live ... Hope it hurries up and kicks in up here!!

Huh, yes Ice I can see winters being so different for you from what you usually had . I can remember a few being perfect with snow that morning or during the day when food was being prepared….ahhh fond memories but sadly I am not a big fan of the holidays and that is a story for another time

Sorry to start rambling and then get to being a downer but I guess it is just the recent culmination of all I have had on my mind lately…..driving me there before I can stop it.
So I guess actually it is somewhat normal ….but I do love the fall season and all the colors soon the hillsides will be a tapestry of color….love going to the mountains on a fall day with the deep blue skies and the tress showing off , just wow….

And, Fire, so glad u mentioned DD's past injury. I did not want to jinx her. She is a shining example of how medicine, practiced properly, can help. And, she had your experiences to learn from. One cannot ask for a stronger Mother figure to emulate.

Off to the races, as it were. Have a glorious day, all. (It surely felt like Fall in here last nite. We are trying to get a used wooden stove as the fireplace used way too many cords of wood. A smaller wood stove will do it. And, partner's friend was giving one away last week. I love finding solutions to problems.)

I have not checked the ratings, but I love this thread, the long Welcome thread, the photographs thread and the Smilies thread.

Very unusual our (well, your) personal threads overcome those of vendors here.

Lastly: My co Admin, whom would make the private room in lounge, as he can do all things technical, checked in with me from home. He lost a beloved relative, so that is the delay in the Private Room. (Plus, my partner being so sick and my computer crashing from Windows10. I strongly detest Bill Gates and his buggery bollocks Windows Monopoly.)

Linville, I am so sorry for the passing of your good friend.  The service was today, you posted.  Did it go well? It's ok to be introspective and a tad sad.

So the SB games went well. DD did play with Varsity about which she was most excited!  She managed to get a hit and even scored a run.  It's as if all the years of playing restricted due to her now resolved knee and back issues, are paying off.   By Jove I think she's got it.

Ice , I saw the Who in Houston many years ago.  I agree, too humid.

If I said today was last respects for my friend, it is on Monday but was listed in the newspaper obit. that the family was having a small private service and not a regular wake.

But I will be going tomorrow unless something happens….to pay my last respects and to somehow try and give comfort to surviving spouse, also a friend, in another way.

well, so many busy people , every now and then the sun shines through the fall looking clouds around here …..
