They are sending via mail new scams
#1
Just be careful. We are used to scammers via phone and via online. But now they are mailing one what they are hoping looks legit.

1. Reminder regarding BWW Collective Action Lawsuit

On June 28th, you were mailed, emailed and texted Notice advising you of your rights in a lawsuit because "you worked as a server, Busser, Bartender or other tipped worker at the Buffalo Wild Wings located in Middletown NY at any time from sept 23 to present."

So I am supposed to go to a web site and give up all my details to be part of the collective action. Assuming they mean Class Action.

Yeah, nope. BWW sounds like Big White Women. And, I have never done bars or worked in any capacity wherein I was tipped.

Don't fall for this stuff. It is a scam to get your information cuz we are all hitting harder times.

2. Federal Trade Commission v. On Point Global

Court records show that you entered personal information online to check eligibility for gvt assistance programs like section 8 housing assistance or food stamps. The website you visited was not a gvt site and didn't deliver what it promised.

The Federal Trade Commission sued the company that created the deceptive website and won a 17 million judgment. You are eligible for a payment from this judgment.

Ok, class action lawsuits result in people winning maybe 2 cents. It benefits the attorneys involved. This is all fake.

Nope, I would not go to On Point Global to ask about social security. I would go to my county of residence. Check out available benefits. Which I did not do anyway.

Then, how would "they: know that the alleged web site i went to did not deliver what it promised.

And we all trust the FTC now.

But in its final lines, it states go to their website and file a claim. Again, they want my information for some God forsaken reason.

Don't fall for this. You have to contact an attorney at law, and go thru a process to be part of a class action suit. One does not get postcards in the mail. With erroneous information.

I don't even know what On Point Global is but for a scam.

Don't fall for any of this stuff.

Just saying.
