They are sending via mail new scams
#2
I've been receiving emails from
Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Training depot.
for that "contaminated water" back in the day...

I've gotten 5 (all with different "claim numbers" )
the only problem is, my Dad went to Camp Lejeune,
I was in San Diego MCRD ...
{ He always said that I was a "Hollywood Marine" and got issued sunglasses}

So I kinda figured it's just mass mailing to try and scam anyone they can...

There is also some "company" in Florida it says, trying to make sure
I get ALL my benefits I'm entitaled to from United Health ... Done talked to my Ins agent...
It's not them ...

These low life people will do anything to trick and confuse anyone to
give up their info in order to rip them off...

Despicable ...

If you were tricked into entering personal information to find out if you were eligible for government assistance programs,
you can apply to get a payment. The FTC sued the company responsible for these websites and won a judgment. The court
is authorized to pay up to a total $17 million dollars to consumers who were harmed.

The deadline to apply for a payment is September 7, 2022.

The defendants, On Point Global, ran more than 200 websites that claimed to check whether a person was eligible for government
assistance programs like the Housing Choice Voucher program, Section 8 housing assistance, or food stamps. As part of the process,
the websites asked people for information like their age, gender, income, and credit or debit card number.
