Ok, is this a canny coincidence? - I may have possibly and hopefully just came across something special!
"may" "possibly" and "hopefully" being the operative words! Far too early to make any conclusions but let me explain, hopefully someone will have some input.
Milk thistle!!! I'm sure most of you have heard of it.
So my fiancé recently bought us a tub of milk thistle each.
Ive briefly read about its alleged benefits before (improves liver function and helps protect the liver against alcohol damage, to name a couple) so for the last 3 days I've been taking the recommended 3000mg per day split into 3 - 1000mg doses.
Last night was Friday so I decided to have a large bottle of Corona, that led to another large bottle of Corona.
Cut a long story short...£100 later we were in the local at 1am waiting on our taxi, having consumed around 17-18 units (each) - I've drunk more, I've drunk less, either way I know it's not recommended.
Ok now to get to the point, I had 1000mg MT before and after drinking.....and I feel absolutely fine today!
No headache, no real lethargy, no 'fear', no hangover! Ok, maybe 10% of the hangover I would have expected.
Not only that but going by the 1 unit per hour rule (for liver to process alcohol) - which seems to be the case for me as I have a reusable breathalyser which lets me know how quickly my body is ridding the alcohol, I shouldn't be alcohol free until around 14:00 (20:00 last night + 18 units = 14:00 today) and to my surprise I just breathalysed myself (it's 10:55) and I'm under the drink driving limit! - which is about 1 unit.
So, yeah....
Anyone else ever tried/ currently use MT?
