Unfortunately I also have a close loved one who is an alcoholic, and my father was an alcoholic most of my life, and that has turned me off of drinking a bit too.  So while I enjoy social drinking, beer, maybe some shots on a special occasion, taking care of a drunk loved one and trying to get her off of the sauce (which is one of the things that brought me to sites like this) has unfortunately soured me on it I do have to say if it wasn't for drinking I would have never met my wife and had my kids, who are the only good thing in my life, but then again since our relationship started off in bars it might explain why our marriage sucks most of the time. Hope that wasn't all too off topic. And yes, when I went out to drink it always ended up costing a lot more than I meant for it too. Once the good times start rolling its hard to stop them, cant count the times in my younger years that I went out for a beer with friends and ended up broke. I always found the best hangover cure for me was MJ in the morning, water and Tylenol the night before. but since the brain processes  Benzos and Alcohol so similarly, Diazepam makes sense as a hangover cure. Just be careful, drink lots of water, don't start drinking alone, and as long as your talking about pints of brew and not whiskey I am sure you will be fine.  Sorry for the long post, hope it was not too off topic.
Well you know in the US its more money for addiction clinics, medical field and pharmacies to profit from esophageal erosions, ulcers, liver disease, gall bladder problems then some other potential alternatives...God bless the globalist Elite and yes a cold brew can be damn good!
