Clonazepam as main treatment for insomnia ?
#9
Hi there! I was prescribed Quetiapine a while back. It was originally prescribed for BPD.  Although it is classed as an anti-psychotic, when taken in low doses its a great sleep aid, with absolutely no groggy-ness or side effects in the morning, in fact some days you wake up quite energetic as you get a proper nights sleep.

I no longer take it for my BPD(I was being precribed 100mg 4 times a day but I just felt so tired all day long and slept way too much that I stopped taking it during the day). I still take Quetiapine at night to aid sleep, but I only take one 25mg pill (2 if I feel I really need it).

Also, I'm sure your Dr wouldn't have any issues with prescribing it as it is not a benzo or adictive.

Hope that's helpful!
