I agree with all of the previous comments, in that, the thought of one's name being added to a "special" database is quite frightening, indeed!! First, we have some Doctors that don't want to prescribe certain things, which is the reason that many of us find ourselves here in the first place. Now this! It seems, that at this rate, soon we won't have anywhere to go for help!! Everywhere you turn, you find yourself in these "catch 22" type of situations. This sucks!
AMEN to that. It's very cruel to deny patients with documented pain problems that have followed the law and done it the right way. I have a horrible feelin' they are slowly doin' away with certain drugs. My PM doc recently cut my dose in half and it's AGONY. I've been on the same dose for at least 20 yrs. and this big cutback is torture.
People that are in pain management should be left alone. We are NOT the ones that are causing the problems, but we are punished just the same as the addicts. That is so unfair and it's gonna make street drugs much much worse when PM patients have no choice other than go to the streets to find relief. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong. Something has to change before they cause a problem like they can't imagine.
