Linville,
Thank you. It is just a quick DNA swap sent to a lab. Each of us may be slow metabolizer or fast metabolizers, which, at least, in part, explains why some drugs work and some don't. Some people can take 2 pills and be laid out for hours, while others can take the same 2 pills and feel the effects for an hour and don't get the full relief they were hoping for. I am not talking about something that a person has a huge tolerance for, as that is a whole different topic. I am talking about something you have not taken before and the different effects on people. Rumor

Cutstack,
I have no idea, but it is the future of medicine and not just psych. You can contact the company to see where or if it is being offered in your area. Good Luck, Rumor

I have lots of experience with depression and insomnia. Nothing is worse. I am not sure what medications the people you know were on. I can honestly say antidepressants have worked for me. Years ago I developed a severe addiction to benzo's. The withdrawl was the worst thing I have ever experienced. I still order from vendors but these products are weak and I have never had any symptoms. I know you are frustrated but anti depressants take atleast 6 weeks to help. Not a good idea to rely on ambien or benzo's alone.
What ever is causing your depression there is help. All the best.

Hello!
Im also in my late 20's, with body image issues, and have struggled with similar issues as you for almost a decade. Currently Rxed klonopin, its somewhat helpful. Took myself off anti depressants and mood stablizers because they make me feel nothing. Robotic almost. I hope you find the help you need here. Silly as it may sound, Ive started exercising and on some days, its just what I need to get me through. Kill two birds with one stone ya know?

Welcome to the board, lots of folks here willing to help.
Hope you find what you need here. Personally I rotate sleep meds to lessen dependency risk. Interestingly, I found that trazadone seems to be more effective than and of the z meds and the benzos. It's not a feel good med but risk of dependency is low, it's cheap, docs will prescribe it, and it will give you a solid night of sleep. It's also not a scheduled med--makes you feel a little crappy in the morning but it wears off pretty quick. Good luck
