Good Morning Linville, Kona, Rose5555, Shayna & IceWizard.  I slept in this morning & it's already 8am here, I normally don't like sleeping this late but I'm still tired from the holiday.  Yesterday was nice out, enough so that my sister's husband put up the outdoor Christmas lights on their house & my dad's house.  It looks very festive.  I don't put lights up at my house but I make evergreen wreaths to hang on my doors.  Today I am going into the woods to cut the evergreen boughs I need to make them.

Morning Fireplaces. Making a wreath isn't hard at all. All it takes is the round thingy that you wrap the lengths of evergreen around using green florist's wire. You keep wiring lengths of evergreen around the base until you get to the desired size. Then you decorate it wiring a ribbon and/or other doodads onto the wreath. Mine are more on the plain side. But I am still saving around $20-$30 a wreath by making them myself.

Harley... I know just what you're sayin... Sometimes, with all the hype, it just don't seem as "special" as it once was... Too commercial maybe... It used to be special when all the family gathered, some from away off.... Only time I'd see them... Transportation wasn't as good back then... Telephones had "long distance" charges, so you didn't even get to talk to them as much... Mainly just by a letter...

Now the holidaze just reminds me of all those wonderful people, my family, that are no longer with me... And that bums me out... I try to shake off those grimm feelings, but being the "manic" I am, it sometimes gets the better of me....
But hey... We still have our family here and that may make a big difference for me this year
( if you don't mind me whining a bit) ...

Oh yeah... Thanks ~Kona~ for the good wishes for my buddy... Man he needs all the prayers and good vibes he can get right about now... They haven't done anything yet (as of this mornin), but it isn't lookin very good for him right about now... But he was jokin about the situation when last I spoke to him.... He said,"Man... Now I gotta go get a tattoo on my arm that say 'Stupmy'!" now what do you say to him after a comment like that?!.... I don't know what the hell I'd be doin... I guess he's more of a man than I'd be.... Anyhooo... Thanks my friend....

I hope everyone has a good day today and Linville, please don't be thinking of hospitals. They scare me!

Rose, I wish I had the talent to make wreaths such as you are. I tried once and put it up on the door and within a day all that was left was the wire frame and Red Bow. Guess I didn't get the securing the boughs quite right.

I have to be honest and tell you all that I really don't like the holiday season at all personally. I think I've said this before. This year is extremely hard for me and I am going to have to watch myself as I don't get depressed, but go inside myself a bit and I get aggravated a bit more easily. Sigh, I look forward to December just going on by......... I smile my way through Holiday Events if I need to attend them.

Okay that was off track and sorry about that.

It's wednesday...



Coffee is already in my cup and the girl(s) have already "slapped" mr around, so I'm off to a great start!

Talked to my buddy at OSU and they had "cleaned" the "inclusion" in one part and got a ever so slight pulse in his foot... He may be able to keep it a while longer... But I think it is prolonging to enevitable... Poor dude... He's got more trouble than a run over dog!

Well... Let's all have a good day today and if you get the chance, reach out a help someone... You'd be surprised how good it makes you feel... Knowin how much you're goin through, we may not be able to tell how much someone else is goin through as well and it's your words that make a positive impact on their life....

Good Morning Everyone. This morning I woke up at 4am & it's a cloudy drizzly day here in upstate NY. I got the wreaths made yesterday but I am finding it so hard to get into any kind of holiday spirits. The one good thing about Christmas in my family is that we don't make a big deal out of giving big fancy gifts. (If we exchange gifts at all) It takes the pressure off of me where I can afford very little. Christmas hasn't been the same since my mom died anyway.

Morning Ice, Fireplaces, Roses, Audrey H, Kona, Linville, Harley and others. Ice, I hope your friend is doing ok now. That sounds really challenging.
I find the issue with Christmas is that is starts too soon. In the UK, we get the dreadful Christmas songs on the radio, street lights turned on, Christmas adverts on the TV and so on from pretty much the start of November now - maybe those of you in the States get it a bit later because you have Thanksgiving to celebrate first, I don't know? But I get Christmas fatigue each year now by mid December. And my sons both have their birthdays at the end of November, so I have already done all the celebrations and presents thing once by now. I love their birthdays and always try to make them special, but sometimes by the time Christmas comes round, I feel totally exhausted with the whole thing. If I could, I would ban anything to do with Christmas until, say, December 10th. Then it would all seem so much more special to me. Ah well, the things we would do if we ruled the world, eh? They are so many!

It's rainin here, well it's been kinda...s..sn...sno... Ahhh!! SNOWIN!! Geeezze Louese... I knew it wasn't long before that crap started... Ugh Oh... Coffee's ready..brb...

Whew!! Now ... Where was I... Oh yeah that freakin snow! I never get used to that crap... The only way I like seein snow is on a post card... Or maybe a movie.. But NOT in real life!!
Hey y'all .. I want to thank each one of you for the good vibes concerning my buddy... He seens to be feelin better, but he's never gonna be outta the woods with this one... He's just buyin a little more time.. But at least, he's still above ground... He's such a trip... He's the guy that was just "freaking out" about my "girls" this summer... He'd call me and start,"My brother just called.. He's right by you... Helicopters everywhere!!... Boots on the ground!! They're tearin crap up all around you!!"
I'd get back home... Nothin... This went on 8-10 times! I finally give up and cut the dang thangs, so he wouldn't have a stroke! I figured, if the powers that be wanted to spend all that money, time, equiptment, air support, manpower and effort... More power to 'em... I'd never plead to anything... Get a public defender... And see just how far the rabbit hole went... Let 'em spend loads of money with the prosecution, gathering of evidence and my atty as well as , housin me feedin me and of coarse my medical needs... Just to see how THAT works for 'em.... I mean there is much more important crap to spend all these resources on other than a couple of plants!! Go for it! But that's just me... And I think when it come to that, they can kiss my a$$... Call me "old fashioned" but, I'd much rather see someone with a kilo of green than see someone murder, rape, steal, burn and the list goes on and on... That should be last on that very long list of crap they should be takin care of....

Enough of the sermon this AM...

Linville..... You've been doin an excellent job with the "world news"... I just haven't had the time to post up much of anything here lately .... Luckily you've never missed a beat... If we all pitch in, our little place here just get bigger-N-better.... We can all do something and contribute to our family here... That's what set us appart from the "other guys" and they just don't get it... It's not just a list of vendors, it's people's lives we deal with here... It's the wanting to help someone that may not be getting the love and support they need to push through an event that could be life changing.... Sure... I know even family members have disagreements, it's just the way we handle those moments that shows our true colors.... We got this....

Ok... Ok.... I'll shut up now....
