Ye ole Cafe
Hi Shayna,
So sorry to hear you are still struggling so badly as the day goes on.  I really hope you feel a bit better and at least turn the corner tomorrow.  Our immune systems are pretty awesome but sometimes it takes them a while to be able to get on top of the really nasty illnesses. My thoughts are with you.
And thank you so much for the positive review - it means a lot.

Thanks Rose5555 and Kittycat. I have an adjustable bed and when my husband will allow it, I sit it up high.  But he doesn't like to sleep like that, and he doesn't want to be apart.  So I sit on the edge of the bed and dangle, and try to sleep like that.  But I am not sleeping much these days

When I get coughing real bad, it helps a little if I bed forward, so I do that often.  I am going to ask my husband if he will get me some guafesin (sp?) to help thin out the mucus.  When I breathe out, which is hard to do, I can hear the rales -- like a wet growly sound.  I am also doing steamy showers with eucalyptus and tea tree oils.  I am trying everything I know how and am able to do on my own.

Hah ha Kittycat, I know that Robin Williams voice saying, Good Morning Vietnam.

I got a hoot out of you saying it that way on the Cafe Linville Good Morning thread.

Now, just BTW, why are you so happy, you have got to be breaking a law of some kind, grins and giggles.

No no J/K you Kittly ....I am happy you are happy....I can see this being addressed by good ole Zander....as it reminds me of an exchange we had when I first came to the New List

Ok, Hi all my friends.......I don't often jump into this thread cause ....well, just cause.  I read it a lot....so be careful of what you say about popsterSmile

I am posting today cause I need to reach out and express my feelings about the loss of another good friend (of 35 years)......
A good man.....went to Yale and Stanford....served in our (USA) Navy...went on to be CEO of an early hi-tech company, dropped out of the rat race and bought some acreage in the mountains near me and started a nudist colony Blush

He created a wonderful community of nice people and kept it that way day and night.

He was sooo smart.....we had so many lively discussions over the years that i can hardly believe we had our last one last week.....the only thing different about our last visit was the big hug he gave me as i left....we always had little hugs...but this one was different and is still on my mind......tears Sad

The memorial yesterday was stunning....friends singing "Danny Boy", Amazing Grace, and "So long my Friend".....wonderful short speeches about friendship and a DVD slide presentation of his whole life......

He had a good life.....this is not meant to be a sad post...it is meant to be a reminder to cherish each other....to stay close to your family and friends....to remember to count your blessings.....especially the small ones that can be taken for granted.

My sadness is also my gladness.

Peace to my gone friend Glynn.

yes, it has helped me to write this post

Popster... As you know, I do not even know this fellow, but for him to have left such an impression on you, he must have been on hell of a guy... For that I am saddened... Good folks don't seem to last as long as the ... Well... Not so good ones...

Please express my sympanthies to his family and of coarse to you Pops... Losing a good friend is never easy... Hope all is well with you my friend...

Hello Popster.

Thank you for sharing about your friend.

I want you to know you have my sincere empathy in the loss of your friend. It sounded like maybe he knew that his time was close because of the extra tight hug.

Peace to him, his family & yours my friend.

Aww Popster I hope you do not think of your post as being selfish, it was not.
YOU are most welcome! ....My friend. I know it is not easy loosing Glynn, a friend of many years.

Remember what Ice says that we should be and we are here for each other, in the good times and the bad times and the just needing to talk times....well Ice says it so much better than I just did....

We all need to do that upon occasion ( let it out ) and it is a good thing we can trust each other to help keep us standing up and making it, so I want to quote Ice....

Here is a partial quote from IceWizard;

You know... It seems to me that the whole reason our forum was formed was promote a feeling of "belonging" ... One you could trust what another was sayin... I think that they have created such a place... All we have to do is maintain it...
